Positional changes
at 18:25 7 Jul 2019

Just reading through a few treads on here and people seem to have accepted there will be very few new signings now, if any at all... Its also been noted we have a lot of potential in numbers and quality in midfield, so is there anyone you think could make a permanent position change to get first team action?
Its happened before in the past and people have already noted Nydam as LB...
Skuse as a cb? Nolan or Edwards as a cf?
Hell, even chambers as a rb... Maybe not...

How safe will Lamberts job really be?
at 16:54 12 Feb 2019

So, dont get me wrong, i think he is great, just what this club needs and making all the right noises off the field...
But on it he is still not getting the results...
Yes, he maybe inherited a poor teamsheet, but he has had a few months now, and a transfer window, to turn things around. But it just hasnt happened.
Again, im fully behind him and hope he is here long term, but ME must be wondering if we would be any worse off if we still has PH in control? Im sure i read somewhere he has a lower win% than PH.
As things stand i would guarantee he is safe, and he has said he wants to stay... but if we went the rest of the season without a win... would Evens get itchy fingers??
He cant be faulted for what he has done off the field but..
Just looking for opinions really

the way i see it...
at 20:58 13 Aug 2018

hi, long time reader, recent-time poster...

I cant help but feel a little confused by the amount of negativity on here recently, on the forum and the news comments... it really is surprising considering we are only 2 games in...

so, the way I see it, would you rather have 11 quality players, and then a group of average player's to make up the squad. Or a group of 16+ players of a similar quality, but maybe of slightly less 'quality'?
I believe we are now nearer the latter, where we can chop and change players when needed, cover injurers ETC
with the added advantage or knowing the players are at an age where they will improve and 'gel'
and I for 1 am looking forward to finding out how it all pans out.

Also, everyone thinks we need another forward..? ok, I see why but I personally wouldn't. This puts the youth further down the pecking order fighting for places that looks like, 90% of the time, there will be only 1 up for grabs....

calling their bluff..?
at 20:15 9 Aug 2018

I think we can all agree, we've had a fairly successful window, and even with the mixed feelings of excitement and scepticism, I think we will be ok.
the 1 downside being the long running saga of Mr Tilt from Blackpool...
I like to think we are just calling their bluff...
they would be crazy stupid to think a player who handed a request in will sign a new contract in the next 6 months, when he apparently wanted to leave.
therefore at best, he will leave for a hugely deflated price in January....
they were thinking we would cave and pay there valuation, and I bet now they are kind of panicking.
in fact, I bet they will be on the phone first thing Monday morning, and he will be joining us on loan early next week... whats the betting on that then???

so, who the hell am I, coming on here and posting of your forum? the cheek of it...
TBH I have been checking TWTDs daily for years... recently started leaving comments...
then I noticed the 'forum' and things got interesting... I

cheers!
