This is a genius idea! Noone else uses it (that I'm aware of), memorable and stirring them tune and most importantly actually has some relevance to us with the fact half the 81 team are in the film. Would love to see this happen! |

Norris discusses the celebration in the podcast. Unsurprisingly, admits he was a tit with the celebration, which with the hindsight of time and maturity clearly knows it wasn’t the smartest thing to do. Throughout the whole podcast Norris comes across as a decent and pretty intelligent guy |

@NoCanariesAllowed - Donacien reminds me a lot of Drissa Diallo. For those not familiar, he was one of BFJ's less successful signings from (I think) 2004? Absolutely no positional sense, guaranteed at least one massive ricket per game, where he often had to rely on his pace or other defenders to get himself out of bother. My old man was at the game Saturday and thought Donacien was ok. Hopefully I will happily be proven wrong and he copes with the step-up. |

If you just want to replicate the Stanley chant for him (to the tune of 'September' by Earth Wind and Fire: 'Oh-we-Oh, we got Kayden Jackson, Oh-we-Oh, centre of the action, Oh-we-Oh, he'll always put a chance away. |

Manu Thetis seemed to achieve cult status for a bit - didn't he have a group of fans who collectively called themselves 'Thetishists'? Other than that I can't look further than Gus, although Frank Nouble was always popular with me, maybe because he caused me so much amusement and entertainment with his ineptitude. |

Can't see how any of the comments in the news piece are aggrandising. All he has said is that the vaulation hasn't been met and therefore no sale (at that time). Can't see any problem with that; its surely what he said to Town in discussion, the only difference is he choices to state this on Twitter. |

Aye - think he has been bought to start. Would definitely rate him higher than Sears who is starting at present and (in terms of pace) the nearest comparison we have in current squad. Everyone's pricing seems overinflated in the market at present, therefore £1.5m-£2m sounds about right. Anymore than £2m and I'd say overpriced. Interesting thing is where he will play and does it mean Hurst's formation will change. In a 4-5-1, cant see him as a lone striker as his hold up play isnt a strength. Therefore, guess he has been brought in to either play as a wide striker or alternatively Hurst is going to play 2 up top. |

Posted the below yesterday in another thread regarding Jackson: I've been going to Stanley regularly for 3 seasons now and this lad is mustard. Pretty much everything that has already been said - absolutely rapid; once he's away from a Defender I've never seen him caught. More significantly though, he is a really good finisher. Plays on the last defender so any through balls like we saw from Dozzell v West Ham are pretty much are the archetypal goal that Jackson scored last season. Could play either down middle or Left or Right hand striker of a 3. As proven in the stats last year, with his pace he created so many other simple tap ins + also won a fair few penalties. In conclusion - quality signing, would be made up if he does come. Donacien on the other hand is proper garbage, even by L2 standard. Woeful touch, abysmal passing and most worryingly of all (which I note was flagged up in some of the post Blackburn comments) his positioning sense is diabolical. I'm amazed he even commanded a fee at all - always the worst player in the team at Stanley last season. Hope the above helps. |

Why’s he a bellend? As I posted yesterday I’ve been going to Stanley for 3 years now and he’s great. Have a look at his twitter comments. He is open, answers all fans questions, happy to admit failings (both his and the club’s) and openly asks fans for comments/thoughts on a variety of issues. For those that took issue with the silence from Marcus Evans last year, Andy Holt is the complete opposite of this. |

agree with all you've written Souper Jim, expect the first line. Rather than a two-fingered salute to either the fans or press, I think it's two fingers to anyone who has ever had the temerity to question him |

agree with pretty much all of the OP. Also top marks for cramming in more analogies in 10 paragraphs than I could manage in a 10,000 word thesis [Post edited 11 Apr 2018 10:42]

I think it’s pretty clear what his opinions of both are. Interesting how the last few months of his time here mirror exactly the same at both Wolves and Sunderland. |
