Although he didn't have any chances today I thought Norwood was outstanding! Chasing down defenders and forcing them into a mistake. Definitely looked like he had a point to prove and if he can rattle premier league quality defenders like that who are comfortable on the ball I'm sure his pressing will get us a few goals this season as well as him hitting at least double figures. For a small fee I'd take him. and under the right management he could be great in this league. If and it's a big if we go up I believe there are better players out there for championship standard. There will be a lot a frees out there this summer and not just the bottom of the barrel ones we usually get. Ones that we can possibly attract with the option of a slightly higher wage to tempt them with and hopefully now being a club with a plan for the future and a new exciting ownership we could attract some better quality players. Fingers crossed we all have something to get excited about. |

People comparing us signing holy and Jackson Over pukki and Krul need to take into account that although the budgies paid no fee for them the players signing on fee and wages I'm assuming would completely eclipse the amount we spent on the two players and their wages. Maybe we should look at our scouts and people involved in recruitment. |

Buying to make a profit and then sell on isn't exactly what I'd want for our club but it's the way of the world in football at the moment so maybe we have to start rolling with the times before we end up even lower down the leagues or at best stagnating in this league while all of these supposedly smaller teams keep leapfrogging us because we don't appear to have two pennies to rub together and our academy players are t bringing in the large transfer fees they once did |
