I was at the game and afterwards met up with a friend (a Burnley fan). He had nothing put positives to say about our back 4 especially Smith. I think the basis of the moans were fans frustrated that they managed just one shot on target all game. |

I disagree. The long throws are a good asset to have, when used correctly. The problem we have is there appears to be no plan when these throws come in, except perhaps aim it in the general direction of Murph. We need 1 or 2 players coming off the byline, attacking the ball whilst on the move. Winning that first header is vital, and with our strength (as per the Charlton 1st goal) offers us a good opportunity to score. |

Because a lot of people on here don't realise that a lot of dinosaurs were strong, fast, and fantastic creatures. They also don't realise that donkeys are strong, reliable and loyal.

I'm beginning to think I'd prefer to blame you than any player for either of the two goals of Friday, with your useless and unconstructive comments. Maybe it was the teams fault (as a whole), or perhaps it was Middlesbrough's fault.....at the end of the day, those toe-rags ran up the pitch with the ball and DELIBERATELY kicked it in our goal! |

It's called 'Soccer Saturday' because it has a ring to it. If it happened to be that football took place on a Friday then they would have called it 'Football Friday'. It's the same with 'Soccer City'. It's all phonetics. All for marketing a show or a place/concept. It sounds fine to say 'Football Factory', but not 'Soccer Factory'.
I just wouldn't use Soccer, because it's actually Football.....
Anyway, time to get a run of wins under our belts. Bring on tomorrow! |

Sheepshanks was on the F.A board whilst chairman here. He pushed the change in away goal ruling for playoff games. We all thought away at Bolton, scoring twice, that it was suddenly an awful decision... But 3 Bolton goals later at PR and extra time was played. We all know the rest! |
