| News Comment | Town Linked With Posh Midfielder Taylor at 21:18:25
He was highly rated whilst at Barnet (His brother, Harry, is still there, and is also well thought of, but Jack was always the better player). |
| News Comment | Police Praise for Fans at 04:45:10
Some points If you are told your behavior is inappropriate, but can not change that behavior when you know you are being watched, even for the 40 minutes the journey takes, then you deserve to be sent home again A lot of the Police on duty would have been from Suffolk, and logic would suggest they were heavily involved with the policing of the supporters from Suffolk. When Norwich come to Town, do you want them drinking in your local pub, in colours, singing songs etc? Or would you rather they were kept at a distance? It works both ways. (yes, most of them are OK, but like us, they have an "element" Perhaps we can do away with Police next time, and return to the smashed pub windows and running fights in the street? It's the Derby, it has been poiliced like this your years. If you don't have the wit to deal with it or the brains to circumnavigate it, either shut up or don't go. Yes, I have an interest in this, but believe me, I am the Constabularies biggest critic. Biggest Derby for decades, no injuries as far as I k now, and only four arrests. Well Done and Thankyou (someone needs to say it) |
| News Comment | Trust Slam Derby Switch and Lack of Consultation at 14:51:05
Merseyside, Manchester and London Derbies have all kicked off at "normal" times in recent years (be it 3,4, or 5 on Sat or sun) so these things can be policed if necessary. However, nice work by the trust with getting the relegation into their statement..... "and we're sure that the prospect of renewing rivalries is something that softened the blow of relegation for Norwich fans" :) |
| News Comment | Marsh-Brown Happy With Bees at 17:09:51
Echoing xome of the commetns above, he is currently playing week in week out, in a winning (so far at least) team. The Hive training facility is as good as anything outside of the top two divisions, and an match for many of those in the championship. Taking into account win bonuses, and the cost of commuting / moving to Suffolk, would he really be any better off playing reserve pteam football and warming the bench up here? Although there is no mention of a concrete offer, Barnet have always allowed players to leave to better their careers, so any interest would have been passed on to Marsh-Brown for his consideration. Up The Bees! |
| News Comment | Town to Face Barnet at 10:57:26
Gentlemen (and Ladies) - Having been a Bees member for he past few seasons (ever since Town went all corporate, and treated me as a "customer") I can tell you that the new ground will be mostly finished, if not completed. Three stands are already up, with seats now installed in the main West stand (as I understand it). The Bees were forced to move by an unwelcoming and deliberately obstructive council in Barnet, so it has been a bit of a last minute move. The training centre is highly thoguht of by many people, outside of the club - Northampton used it prior to their play off final, (dont blame the bees for the result!) various olympic teams used it last year etc etc. As I get more news and info, I will post it on her for those wishing to attend. P.S. I am led to believe that bars will be available at the ground once it's complete |

Only £4 to get in tonight. Go on, you know it makes sense. Blues need the support, Bees need the money. |
| News Comment | Town Off to St Mirren in Pre-Season at 11:33:51
Paul Fairclough (Director of Football at Barnet) revealed on the football league podcast last week that he had been speaking to MM about preseason fixtures. He didn't reveal the rsult of that discussion, but it might be another one pencilled into the calender. |
| News Comment | Chambers: We'll Beat the Drop at 11:45:50
I seem to have heard this a few times this season from different players, stretching back now several months. And yet here we still are! |
| News Comment | Ainsley at Preston at 17:44:16
Played three times this season, been awarded Man of the Match three times (according to the fixture list on here). Seems a bit harsh to be dropped (twice) and then later shipped out without getting the chance to impress the new manager. P.S. If his mum and dad are reading this, (or Jack himself) get him down to Barnet, and join the Davids revolution. You know it makes sense :) |
| News Comment | Town Would Still Consider Stadium Sponsor at 09:59:54
There are a lot of people stating they will always call it Portman Road, but how many people still refer to the South Stand / Greene King Stand as Churchmans?? Over a few years, attitudes will change, new fans will come in not knowing anything different, and eventually, (in about 10-12 years seemingly) the ground will be the "insert multinational tax avoidance company name here" stadium to the majority of fans. Whether it's right or wrong, well, that's down to your own opinions |

| News Comment | Murray Set for Wembley Final at 11:25:03
One cross into the Bees box asaide, he may well have contributed other little bits and pieces, but as I said, he was relatively annonimous. Other players stood out more, so are we perhaps keeping players who should be playing at that level, and not picking up players from that level who would benefit us more? Mind you, one game is hared to judge a player by |
