| Forum Thread | Goal Threat emerging at 16:07 29 Sep 2024
We're steadily seem to coming to terms with this division and I'd say we're looking more likely to score. Another game where we're competing but looking to have more teeth. Jack Clarke looking pretty handy and worthy of a starting spot. Think he might have nailed the left side position down. Need more from Ogbene, though. |
| Forum Thread | Is this mostly now about McKenna's coaching? at 06:47 1 Sep 2024
Got our squad now and it's virtually a new team. And one with limited PL experience. I think we've hoovered up mostly top-end Championship players who are hopefully on an upward curve, although you don't know truly what level they can achieve. So there is that uncertainty. Think it's up to Kieran and his coaching staff now and what they can achieve on the training pitch. If we can try and keep that group togetherness and pass it on the new players then we stand a good chance, but I think coaching is now the key. |
| Forum Thread | Penalty taker? at 17:56 23 Aug 2024
I don't think we've got a first choice penalty taker OR one witn a good record. Seem to recall us missing a few. Are any of our new incomings a bit handy from the spot? |
| Forum Thread | Not that disappointed... at 06:26 15 Jul 2024
because we've been mostly crap during this tournament and the best side in the tournament dominated us during this final and deservedly beat us. Football won out and it would have been a bit of an injustice. Fair play to Southgate and the players for showing a bit of resilience to get to the final, but f#ck we've been lucky and hardly played any decent football along the way. Kieran must have spoiled me. |

Congrats to Southgate. We're in the semi's. That's deep ( for a semi) and if we go out to Holland - no disgrace and looks pretty reasonable and adds to his record as a "successful" England manager..... but..... I truly think he's a terrible coach and we've got this far not because of him, but despite him. Is that being harsh? There's been non-stop criticism from media and the fans of him and that doesn't help - but after 8 years as England boss surely we should see some cohesion and style and identity. The only identity I see is ponderous and no-risk. It just relys on one of our players showing a bit of class to get us out of jail or over the line. If this is tournament-style football then I'm not a fan. I don't think it's necessarily low-risk as we 9/10 would have been eliminated against Slovakia without Bellinghams last gasp equaliser and had to rely on Saka's late equaliser and a penalty shoot-out to get us through last night. I'm trying to offer praise to Southgate and give him credit - but I can't help think he's just a lucky sod who's nowhere good enough to get more out of this team. |

Just seen Lambo is on the latest Under the Cosh podcast. Can't be bothered to stick with the interview and can't understand him anyway. Maybe hes got some inside info on Town and someone can translate. |
| Forum Thread | Who plays up front for the 21's? at 06:41 29 Dec 2023
Not adding to the ridiculous list of players who can deputise for Hirst.... but..out of interest...who plays up front for the 21's? I've really lost track of the academy players and the 21s and 18s. I think we are losing a bit of connection with the academy which is sad... but understandable since we're going through a transition. |
| Forum Thread | EADT update? at 15:51 28 Jun 2023
Post pay-wall, I've had little or no contact with the EADT ITFC news / KOA. How is the content ? Worth the subscription ( or the future full subscription after the introductory offer) ? How is the team faring after Andy Warren leaving? Has there been a fall-off in quality since he left ? |

| Forum Thread | Peter Reid - Accrington physio? at 08:26 4 Sep 2022
Accrington Physio came on a couple of times and I could have sworn it was Peter Reid. If Cookie's mates can be versatile enough to go from kit man to coach, maybe that's the route Reid took. |
| Forum Thread | New LWB? at 13:09 23 Jan 2022
Did KVY do enough to mean we don’t need to sign a new LWB? Not sure about that, but he did fine yesterday. We’ve been linked with the 18 year old from Man U. If we did bring him in, he’d be expected to hit the ground running in men’s football. Tough ask. Could be that we would add to the list of LWB’s who aren’t quite able to nail this spot down. I’d rather we go for a player that’s got enough experience to hold down that position or else - let’s not bother. Might as well let KVY, Penney and Coulsen fight it out rather than bring in an unknown quantity. |
| Forum Thread | Stuart Taylor not moved on - FLW at 13:07 20 Jan 2022
Hamilton boss Stuart Taylor rubbished any reports linking the club with Zanda Siziba and Ben Morris, both Ipswich players. Independent Ipswich Town site TWTD had reported Hamilton’s interest in both players. However, Taylor has denied the story, suggesting the club has no interest in bringing them to Scotland’s second division. “I don’t comment on speculation. If it said on the TWTD site, I wouldn’t believe it,” said Taylor, via the Daily Record. “If they said it was snowing and I was standing in a snow storm, I would still double-check.” |
