We won't be getting any more. |
| Forum Thread | Just one of those games, still in our hands at 08:51 11 Apr 2024
We were the better team but the ball just wouldn't go in the net. The final ball and/or the final shot just wasn't there tonight. Any other game and we walk away with a comfortable win. It happens sometimes and we're still 2nd in the league with promotion in our hands. We've played a lot worse and still managed to get a result. Good performance after the defeat at the weekend. With the 2 week recovery after the Boro game and Burns & Hirst potentially coming back, let's keep the faith! Who ever thought we'd be in this position at the start of the season! I like the look of Taylor, gave us a lot more energy in the middle I thought. |

Apparently over 250 tickets were given to staff / sponsors etc. no wonder the atmosphere was crap |
| Forum Reply | How are we feeling about the nodge game? at 14:51 2 Apr 2024
I was looking at my heart rate yesterday. Most of the day it was 55, then around football it was anything from 120-160 - my 'smart watch' thought that I was doing exercise! |

I was saying the same to a colleague. It was incredibly loud yesterday when the fans got going. My ears were muffled afterwards! |

I must admit, until we got it back to 2-2 yesterday, I was really dreading it. With Moore potentially missing out too, even more so. However, the attitude our players showed yesterday has filled me with more confidence. I just hope we can show the same desire that we did in the second half yesterday. With a full squad, I'm confident we'd beat them. Still not over yesterday, my ears are ringing so badly but its so worth it! |
| Forum Reply | Orwell Bridge set at 40 for some reason this morning.... at 08:42 26 Mar 2024
I was the only one going 40 when I crossed! But I didn't see the first sign so reduced speed late, although I don't think they're capable of recording the speed at one specific time. Then the sign said 60 so I sped up, the next said 40! Going to be a lot of speeding tickets issued! |

I thought we sold out 3500 then were given an extra 1000? So probably just shy of 4000 sold so far? |
| Forum Reply | I think ive torn my calf muscle today at 10:12 21 Mar 2024
I tore my calf quite badly playing football. Getting back to walking didn't actually take THAT long, maybe a couple weeks. Still had pain though. The whole recovery took many months with set backs as I believe I kept partially re-tearing it when doing silly things like reaching over in my car. Still feels very tight from time to time now which is annoying but probably more due to my sedentary lifestyle. |

This is my thinking. Was talking about going away with the wife in may, then had to say "hmm let's give it a think and see what's about nearer the time". |

Hilarious that Norwich fans try to mock about us celebrating our great past achievements, when their only come back is beating us in a league match. Now they can no longer brag about their attendances, they really are clutching at straws, bless 'em. They will never achieve what we have, even if it was a few decades ago. |
| Forum Reply | Take that, climate doom-mongers at 12:34 13 Mar 2024
This graph looks terrifying, but from what I read, there are reasons for it (as well as climate change). I found the quote below, it will be interesting to see how this develops - Possibly new SO2 pollution standards for ships, which went into effect last year. Atmospheric SO2 reflects sunlight and reduces warming. We're also on the El Nino portion of the ENSO cycle. And a large underwater volcano erupted which sent a large amount of water vapor into the atmosphere. And, of course, there's also the relentless slow increases which has been happening for decades from burning fossil fuels. If the SO2 standards are most of the reason, we should see a permanent one-time shift. Any rise from a volcanic eruption should dissipate relatively quickly. The ENSO cycle causes pretty large temperature swings for up to a year at a time, but probably not this large. We should see some reversion towards the mean when the ENSO cycle moves towards neutral, which is currently forecast to happen late this year. |

I'm intrigued to know too. Although mine is from a season or 2 ago so not the same appeal I guess. I'm probably going to have to sell it to raise funds sadly. |
| Forum Reply | Got to feel sorry for middle england at 14:52 5 Mar 2024
I think this more reflects the trends of people ordering online rather than going into the high street which is dying quickly. Cheaper to order online as don't have to pay parking and much more convenient etc. |
