So, Cummings and Cain engineer a way out
at 19:17 13 Nov 2020

Just as the sh1tshow that is Brexit convulses us, plus their incompetent decisions over COVID-19, plus a 2021 unemployment leap - they leave. Spineless w@nkers. And never forget, this is all under Johnson’s watch. Don’t be fooled that this is Johnson’s positive decision making. He allowed this. Deaths and unemployment are directly on his hands. If you follow this fool, you are complicit. Directly. Sleep well.

I’m going to go into a bit boring pretentious coaching mode, but the thing tha
at 22:18 7 Nov 2020

Really worries me about us is our complete lack of shape when we don’t have the ball. Once in the second half (or may have been in ET) we had three players around their player with the ball on the Portsmouth left, and a huge gap over on the Portsmouth right. Portsmouths shape was excellent first half. We just seem to all over the place. Makes us really panic when under the cosh and very, very vulnerable to attacking width and pace. I just don’t see how we are set up. Are we sitting deep, but tight? Pressing? Narrow? I actually think we are sometimes ok with the ball, but without it, we often look clueless and panicked.

Can anyone post some good news?
at 09:49 4 Nov 2020

Town lost again, Trump likely to win, Johnson fvcking things up here, another lockdown, a long winter ahead, terrorism around Europe, COVID on the up, that c-unit Farage in the news, Carrot Road not yet been hit by a meteor........bloody hell, this is depressing. Can anyone cheer me up?

Classic Dom seems to me like a football manager who had a good couple of seasons
at 20:24 31 Oct 2020

Out of nowhere, but then it becomes apparent that it was more do with luck and all the cards falling in the right place at the right time, rather than actual tip top skill. Dom has done nothing but steer Blow Job towards disaster after disaster since the election.

So at last, the Tory clowns catch up with what the rest of us thought should have happened by now. Damn, and I had a haircut booked for next weekend.

Anyone on here take any health supplements?
at 16:46 22 Oct 2020

And do they make any difference? And no, beer doesn't count as a supplement. Being a man just the wrong side of 50, I wondered if I should consider anything.

Don't know if I am imagining it, but this time around, I'm noticing COVID
at 13:57 8 Oct 2020

infections in people I actually know. My son (uni), my bosses son (uni), a mate's son (secondary), chap from work.....during the first wave I was only hearing of friends of friends type thing. I'm not a super spreader BTW - I've had no contact with any of the aforementioned! Anyone similar? Guess the school/uni thing is a real factor.

How on earth are most clubs below the Prem going to survive?
at 13:13 23 Sep 2020

Most clubs lose huge amounts even with crowds, but with no/little fan derived income, what happens? I can't see how a large number of clubs won't go to the wall. Surely this brings into play a "big" club or clubs going out of business? Or am I missing something? I'm not sure why there hasn't been more noise around this issue. Also, makes the salary cap seem a good idea now!

I think there are many Brexit voters
at 19:30 19 Apr 2020

Shifting uncomfortably in their seats, and perhaps feeling a tad guilty, because, whatever they may say in public, actually voted along lines of prejudice in the vote (get foreigners out), but have absolutely no arguments now they realise that this country relies massively on migrant labour: NHS, carers, van drivers, warehouse staff etc etc. If the Brexit vote was actually planned for the end of this year, it would undoubtably end in “remain”. I think my own parents would be entwined in this conundrum.

Anyone ever clippered their own dog? Any tips?
at 12:46 29 Mar 2020

My mutt is in desperate need of a cut. The dog groomers is closed, so I’ve ordered some clippers and going to give it a go myself. Part of me is a bit excited, part of me is terrified. I might take the opportunity to give him a Mohican all the way down his back. Any tips from the good folk of TWTD?

I used to like popping into Simmons the baker to buy a lovely cranberry and yoghurt flapjack. And having my hair cut. They were great times.

at 22:22 22 Mar 2020

Shatting himself, knowing that the Tory austerity cuts to the NHS over the past decade is about to come back to bite him (and his party) in a massive way? Not necessarily right now, but when the dust had settled and there are enquiries around how the UK dealt with this? Or will he spin it at the next election as “Get the NHS done”?
