When we put performances like that last season….
at 00:55 3 Oct 2021

Today was the 9th time we've taken the lead this season, yet we have just 2 wins. Not only are we being outfought during games, we are being out-thought too.

We mustn't over react to this.
at 18:18 2 Oct 2021

It is not over-reacting because today was not a one-off. It was almost identical to the 2-1 defeats at Cheltenham and at Burton. And the Lincoln game would probably have gone the same way if their "goal" hadn't been wrongly flagged for offside right after the break.

Our lack of commitment, desire and quality today was unacceptable, and we created next to nothing. We seem to lack the intelligence, both on and off the pitch, to change games.

Years since I listened to Kate Bush
at 14:38 29 Dec 2020

Yep, amazing, and influential to so many other artists. There's a lot of the same sounds and shifts in Marina (and the Diamonds), especially the early demos, and less obviously in stuff like Nightwish and even the more intimate/intricate Billie Eilish moments. Many, many others of course. What a groundbreaking artist she was/is.

Watching the match online?
at 12:24 12 Sep 2020

If you are able to switch your VPN to the US, ESPN+ is streaming it live here in HD. $5.99 for a monthly subscription or $12.99 bundled with Disney+ and Hulu, cancel anytime. I'm sure you can do it through Sky in the UK too.

Name three things you don't think anyone else on Twtd has done
at 01:49 28 Feb 2020

1. Random lift to Filbert St, Leicester with Micky Stockwell's mum and dad after they stopped to ask me directions outside Leicester train station. Late-80s/early 90s I think?

2. Even randomer night on the beers with Kristen Stewart and her friends when I was in LA for a wedding last year, due to a bizarre mutual friends situation that arose outside a bar.

3. A few years ago I offered to write a business plan for a lingerie startup company to try and impress the girl who was launching it–except I knew nothing about writing business plans or the intimate garments industry. My plan got her two rounds of funding and recently some of their products were featured on the cover of Harper's Bazaar. I have never been able to repeat this trick for myself. Not even close.

RIP Simon Warr

Was just thinking the same thing. Always looked forward to his HT reports on iFollow. And I agree, there was something oddly reassuring about his voice. Brilliant use of language and knowledge of the game too. RIP.

The Brit Awards

Billie and Finneas have so much raw talent and synergy. Incredible that they wrote and recorded the Bond theme in just 3 days in a tiny bunk on their tour bus. Aged 17 and 21 at the time.

Love their little live acoustic jams too.

Why are KFC selling a vegan burger?
at 21:43 1 Feb 2020

Maybe they like other items on the KFC menu and would like a burger to go with it? Maybe they are with their non-vegan friends? Maybe non-vegans who are cutting down on meat like to try it? Maybe vegan burgers just taste nicer than chicken to some people?

I'm not vegan or even vegetarian but I increasingly find the "eat meat or you're a weirdo" lot even more annoying than the "here's why you should be vegan" brigade.

Either way, it beats me why anyone would feel threatened by a fast food chain offering a vegan option. Order something else ffs!

And here it is. Gates sent off at 3-3. Horrible mistake by Cooper for 4-3. Definitely wet and windy!

What chance of inflicting Portsmouth's first home defeat?
at 10:20 17 Dec 2019

We will beat both Pompey and Wycombe. One of those will be the usual sh*thouse 1-0 road win against the run of play but the other will be one of those wild, one-off 4-3-type games when everything goes in, which will lead us to believe we have finally found our touch and that every game is going to be like this from now on. (We haven't and none of them will be.)

Gillingham at home and Lincoln away... Both underwhelming draws. Boo count higher against Gills.

Bonus def info ... Exeter away in the EFL Champions League. Start a front 3 of Morris, Folami and Sears, with Donacien as a makeshift central attacking midfielder and Judge slotting in at right back. Holy, Norris and Przybek play 30 mins each. Go 1-0 up. Spurn a hatfull of chances. Georgiou replaces Sears with 25 mins to go, but never makes it onto the pitch. Concede late equaliser. Lose on pens.

I think yesterday it proved
at 20:08 10 Nov 2019

I don't think it does prove that. If anything it proves that you can't make 10 changes to the team and expect them to be firing on all cylinders from the off. We played quite well in the second half.

It's either the weirdest or the cleverest.

If the OP's intent was to generate a thread of blokes talking about prostate cancer, then it's a genius piece of disease-awareness trolling. Well played Phoenix.

If not ... Bianca's badge has resulted in a thread of blokes talking about prostate cancer (this one), which is exactly what it was supposed to do. It's not about who is wearing the badge, but who might see it. Sky Sports has a large audience of at-risk males, so it's an ideal target market for this campaign. Well played Sky/Bianca/prostate cancer awareness folks.
