| Forum Reply | NYC Meet up for Sunderland on Sunday at 15:44 2 Aug 2023
There's a few sports bars in Brooklyn + Manhattan that I know of that open early morning for the UK prem. I'm sure that we'd find somewhere as a group (about 5 of us) where we could get a pub that would be open for the Derby in December if we promise to put a few hundred dollars behind their bar with food and drinks! |

Appreciate the very small audience this will be applicable to but following on from a successful meet-up at the end of last season, some of us from NYC will be meeting up to watch the game on Sunday vs Sunderland from 11:30am (Kick off 12:00). Location: Legends, West 33rd Street (Near Empire State Building) Website: https://www.legendsffnyc.com/ We have a table booked and we'll have Ipswich shirts on so if you happen to be in NYC, come and join us! Cheers, James |

Watched the Plymouth game at the Wapping Tap. New sports pub with loads of craft beers, pool table, darts and shuffle. They had LOADS of screens and were happy to put the town game on with the sound |

| Forum Reply | Question for the London based lot at 09:59 2 Jun 2021
I'm London based and all my usuals are rammed and full. I might have a table for 4 in Mile End that I'm not using so could potentially send over the booking to you - if you'd fancy that? I'd need to confirm with my guys about our plans first, but will keep you in mind. |
| Forum Thread | Euro 2020 Dublin rearranged matches at 09:30 2 Jun 2021
Hey all, Bespoke request and wondered if anyone knew, but there was a L16 game in Dublin which I originally had tickets for which has since been moved to Dublin. UEFA refunded all the tickets, so as far as I'm aware no tickets have been sold for it. UEFA released a news story on Monday about remaining tickets going on sale ( https://www.uefa.com/uefaeuro-2020/news/0269-12682ae5e7a8-0f0adfb9d157-1000--rem but has no information about the London match. Does anyone know what is happening with that and when the tickets will go sale? |

Completed sounds good. Previous status was "allocated" which i would assume is now unconfirmed / ballot not completed. |

I've lost my Tickets for Croatia, Scotland and Czech Rep. I had already lost my Dublin L16 tickets as that game got moved. I still hold 4 Semi Final tickets which I'm hoping won't get cancelled. Can quite imagine that the SF ballot will be done at a later date when capacities are finalised. What a sh*t morning. |
| Forum Reply | Euro 2021 Tickets at 15:49 14 May 2021
I have tickets through UEFA and it says "ticket allocated" when I log in as well. I'm guessing that's no change from before though. No emails from UEFA |

I think he may be financially worried - as he may well lose more money long term being in the champ because of the L1 salary cap. This is also why the system is so broken and a without proper implementation across all tiers of the pyramid - it makes a mockery of the whole system. What kind of system is football if you can get promoted but actually because of the disparity of finances between the levels - you need to spend 5 times the amount to be competitive. And then spending that much is actually a financial punishment as the owner is making bigger losses than being in the league below! |

But the fans would cry and wail about how we're not spending enough!+ also we'd almost certainly get immediately relegated. |
| Forum Reply | Any uni students feeling hard done by? at 10:53 8 Sep 2020
I was in the first year of students that had to pay £9000 instead of £3000 and it's a bit of a sore point. That being said - I don't care one jot about the uni fees. These are funded by the government and I'll only pay it off in a well paying job. If I stop work - I don't pay. After 30 years, it all gets wiped off if I haven't paid it off. Yes, it frustrates me to know that I have a negative balance of circa £50k but students pretty much just pay an additional tax (9% of everything over £25k ish) as a result of a job paying above that - meaning they have done really well. |
