I do wonder whether this is a bit of noise coming from Brighton's side to try and push McKenna into making a decision. In the same way other representatives have been pushing alternative messages this last week. |

The text within the article is less 'click baity' I thought:
"He is currently seen as likelier to go to Brighton if he does leave Ipswich Town"
That's a pretty big 'if', and also at odds with the definitive statement within the tweet. [Post edited 26 May 2024 22:32]

I guess it depends on how you view it - glass half full or empty.
Nothing's been confirmed on Ten Hag. Similarly, you could argue, why would Brighton be waiting for a manager who doesn't want to join them? If it's the case that it's United or Town, surely McKenna's representatives will have told Brighton that?
That being said, removing Chelsea from the conversation certainly helps. |

Feels like Kieran McKenna is playing Football Manager and using the 'Declare Interest in Job' button for every job at this stage.
I think he'd do well to rein his agent in somewhat, if it is coming from the agent, it's looking a bit desperate

It's very close to getting messy, and regardless if it's agent talk or not, ultimately they are agents connected with McKenna and therefore it just doesn't reflect well on him.
Nothing will take away from the incredible achievements, but a bad taste will start to form if this agents "come and get me" messaging continues. Similarly it's not a great look for the club to have your manager on every back page being touted for other jobs.
Given the United job won't move until next week, it doesn't feel like something will happen quickly, which either way is what we need now, if he leaves - we say thank you very much and he leaves, or he stays and we can move on and start planning for pre-season, this limbo is the worst part. |

It's also not even correct. Has Leif Davis as one goal, but he's scored two this season.
