Cook: Until We Can Become a Strong Team, You'll Not See Our True Colours

Law of averages suggests we will win at some point. Hopefully tomorrow.

Morsy: Boss is as Focused as I've Ever Seen Him
at 17:41:05

I get that players have drop down a league to play for Cook, but you simply can’t overlook his terrible record. It simply can’t continue. No wins in eight this season is indefensible. Cook must win matches - plural- starting on Saturday. His record is beyond shocking.

Whatever happens, and you would hope we would go on to beat a under 21 side, being level at half time and conceding is all you need to know. Not good enough.

We are playing a youth team. A win is a must and the only acceptable result.

Saturday is a more important game. That’s the one we need to win.

Cook: One of the Toughest Days I've Had in Management
at 19:19:22

He mentioned multiple times that he won’t criticise players in public and never has … really?! What about last season.

He was very defensive at times and rude during interviews. He’s got a shocking record. Terrible.

Ipswich Town 2-5 Bolton Wanderers - Match Report
at 17:50:39

Beyond shocking and the club simply can not ignore this. There can be no excuses for conceding five at home to Bolton in League One. None. No gelling excuses. The stark reality is the manager isn’t good enough. It’s embarrassing being a Town fan. Seven games this season …. Five at home. No wins. This is on top of a poor pre season and woeful results last season. There will be very few clubs who would tolerate Cooks results any longer. Four wins in twenty four. Shameful.

Cook and Ashton keep referring to us as a big club. Big clubs are active in the transfer market etc. A big club also needs a competent manager. We don’t.

Truly dark days. Difficult to justify that journey to PR despite having a season ticket. Deflated.

Outstanding effort from Ashton. 10/10.

But now Cook needs to step up. He’s been backed big time. No excuses now. We need to WIN football matches. Can’t afford another month of zero wins.

Keeper Walton Signs on Season-Long Loan
at 15:35:23

Although I think this is a good signing, having four loans likely to be five or possibly even six - is madness. No doubt two or three quality loans (Bonne and Coulsen) add value to our players in a squad for the season. But for me we now have too many.

Town Close in On Celina Loan Signing
at 11:00:36

Celina would clearly be a great addition to the squad providing he is fully fit.

The issue for me is this will be yet another loan. Every team needs two or three loans to supplement the squad. We already have that. Bonne and Coulsen have added quality. Five loans is baffling. If all were to start, nearly half the starting eleven would be other teams players - not sure how that helps with building a starting eleven for not only this season but next. Multiple loans hasn’t worked in the past. Two or so quality additions (Frazer, Lawrence, Dos Santos) does.

Ipswich Town 2-2 AFC Wimbledon - Match Report
at 18:00:16

Forget the gelling argument, six games in, no wins is unacceptable. Failing to beat a fairly average Wimbledon at home when two up is even more unacceptable. Cooks results have been poor. Last season was poor. Pre-season was poor. This season is poor. There is no excuse. The tactics when in front today was nothing short of woeful.

As stated by others, the goalkeeper looks utterly woeful. Completely out of his depth. We continue to lack in midfield. Evans has had one good game.

Things need to change and quickly. Not winning a single game in all competitions is baffling beyond belief. I’ve said it before, but the longer this winless run goes, the higher the pressure. The less likely we will win. I think we saw that today. We saw it with Keane. We saw it with Hurst.

3 points out of 15 and dumped out of the cup by a woeful Newport (we fielded a good side). Very poor. 4 wins in 23 for Cook. Can’t be defended. Dreadful.

Unless Edmundson and Toto injuries are worse than reported, I see no point in bringing in a loan to play above four of our players. In fact, we have three loans already - which is more than enough.
