No - we've got this! Results from last night have to be a phycological boost for us - and with KmK's man management, I'm sure he can get our team back to firing on enough cylinders for 3 points tonight. Am confident - more so than Sat! COYB!
Whilst I agree that racism / antisemitism is a problem and needs to be tackled wherever it is found, it's wrong to weaponize it as was blatantly obvious under Corbyn's Labour.
Democracy does not exist in the UK at the moment. Now there is only a choice between Tory or Tory-light. Corbyn was the last chance at reducing inequality - and was blocked by those in his own party with blatant lies and deceit. If that's not obvious then you're captured, plain thick or immeasurably wealthy.
I kind of miss almost all forms of advertising, either by downloading shows / movies I want to watch or mostly by watching Netflix, and with ad blockers employed all over the place. I try and make exceptions for TWTD though, in case Gav is reading ;)
For sport, I use iFollow only or stream the odd match or sport - again mostly without ads.
What shocked me though, was watching this years World Cup - to do this , I was using VPNs to stream UK TV (I don't live in the UK) and was absolutely horrified at the amount and repetition of gambling adverts between halves. It was relentless, and surely must be a major contributing factor to the problem.
Another cause that is slowly gaining condemnation in parts of Europe (less so in the UK or Americas) can be found in video games. Loot boxes. Some countries are now banning these kind of games, where it really is a disguised form of gambling - and one that youth are highly exposed to. They try and mask it, but many very popular game employ this form of additional revenue, but when you strip it down - it is nothing more than gambling that kids (and many adults) are exposed to.
Love him or hate him, Jim Sterling has been trying to fight this for years - with a small modicum of success, where some AAA games have rolled back, scaled down or in some cases even removed this form of gambling based on his popular YouTube rantings.
For those interested, here is his latest rant on the matter:
Personally, I'd love to see advertising bans on all forms of gambling - like they do in many countries, else the UK is gonna end up in an even worse state.
