Agreed! The fans have given Edwards way too much stick. Okay so he's not the best right back, but that's because he's not a right back! He's taken a pay cut of more than half, started I think every game except from one last season, retired from internationals and tried to adapt to a different position just to help the club! The man deserves more respect. |

I live in Lincolnshire so obviously can'y get radio Suffolk.
But... I've found an online radio station application that you can download free to your laptop or pc. Just google 'streamer p2p' and download it. When you open it up, it comes up with a long list of amateur internet radio stations. On there is one called ITFC Video Radio where someone (don't know who) streams radio suffolk over the net during town games. Technically I suppose it counts as pirate radio, but they're the ones breaking the law not us!
I've been using this for a couple of years now and it's allways been reliable and fine. The programme isn't illegal and theres no risk of viruses or anything so give it a try :) |

If we get this loan does it mean that Hyam won't have much of a chance for regular first team football given the Kourouma should also soon be able to sign?
If so, then we should loan Hyam out to League 1! But I'd rather see him getting involved in regular football this year. Would be happy with the following line up:

I am one of those who is not 'unduly concerned' yet over the keeper situation.
While obviously signing a new No1 remains paramount, we do indeed have plenty of time still left - and although it is desirable that this be done before pre-season, it is not essential. It will take longer than just pre-season for a new GK and a new CB or two to gel. Regardless who we get and when we get them, I feel that we are in for another shaky defensive start, similar to the one we saw in the the season just gone. But with time, this can only get better.
In terms of ALB, I strongly agree that he has been treated unfairly by the fans. He has most often been great cover for us, and I hope he will continue to do so.
But I'm optimistic as I think we have plenty to look forward to this season. We were 5th joint top-scorers last season (on par with champions Reading!). I feel that we can improve on this next season as LM and JET have now found their feet in the team and have become strong attacking threats. Despite his problems and reduced training, Chops scored 14 goals which is still impressive. JS has proved to be a good late sub for Chops and contributes with many late goals. If the link is true and we sign Davies, he should be a good addition to the squad as his height would be welcomed up front. I would preffer him over Baldock given that we have no tall strikers!
If we can stop conceding so many goals then we should be a much stronger force next season!

if he was back in irelend, then its most likely that his first concern was to catch up with friends and/or family over a drink - not to watch the town on telly.
im sure most people would do the same if they spend long periods of time abroad and not much time back in their country. why does everyone try to give our players stick all the time? |

What im saying is, it means is we'll have even more of a team to try and rebuild/replace next season. If that doesnt relegate us this season, it certainly will next season. |

What? Offer 1m for a defender that just left on a Bosman because he didnt want to sign a new contract for us!?
It's good that we're targeting defenders as the defence we have at the moment is clueless. Who do we have?
Cresswell - A good young and hungry player with something to prove and who has played well so far.
Ingi - A golden oldie who's injury prone, but our best CB by far.
Smith - A headless chicken
Delaney - Another headless chicken
Edwards - A right midfielder who was supposed to be a SHORT TERM solution for our lack of RBs
Ainsley - Young and inexperienced who is not ready for this level, but could improve if loaned out to lower leagues.
So in other words, we have only have two useful defenders, and one of them is injury prone and on a one year deal. Jewell, yes you have tried to make signings, but have failed. You probably wont be able to sign anyone before the window closes, and we'll end up with loanees. THAT IS ONLY A SHORT TERM SOLUTION! What will happen at the end of the season when Andrews, Stockdale, and our other one or two loanee defenders leave!? Not to mention Ingi and Bowyer and half the rest of the teams contracts will be up! It looks like we're in for a poor season, and who would want to resign after that? I think we're staring relegation right in the face... I hope I'm wrong.
I'm losing faith in you PJ, you better be able to turn this around. |
