Good 2nd half.
Pennington was solid in my opinion. He looked liked he'd been playing alongside Chambers for years. Very, very promising.
Edwards exciting, made decent play. I felt we looked far more threatening with Walters up front.
A few times some indecision in midfield, where players looked around when there was a free ball wondering who should take it.
Hope Skuse is ok.

Wish we kept him. I think this was right up there in Keane's biggest mistakes. He got rid of him when he was a clear talent and someone we'd really like now in our side. I would say he was a judas - the manager didn't want him at the time and didn't recognize his talent when most of the fans did. |

shame about Jerome. Yes, an ex canarie but I remember him causing us a few problems whenever we played them. was physical and fast and found the net well.

We desperately need a goal scorer. Of the 2 games I've seen, sadly Harrison at times looks a little lost - runs well, work rate ok, but that clinical instinct at the moment is missing. I'm sure it'll come, but I'm not seeing a Murphy / Waghorn / Mathie / Kiwomya-esque style target front man there at the moment. And that's what we need. In fact, two of them. In front of goal we just don't look a threat, aside from Edwards when he breaks forward and takes people on. Bit concerning as we cant win games if we don't score. |
