| News Comment | McKenna: We Take the Positives From the Performance at 08:14:19
The change in style to suit Moore's potential threat doesn't seem to be working. The long ball has been creeping in the last few matches and Moore, as hard as he tries, seems relatively easy to defend against when the oppo pack in 3 large CB's. Shock the opposition, start with Al Hamidi next match and bring on Moore when they are all knackered from chasing our forward pack |
| News Comment | McKenna: We Didn't Hit Our Usual Levels at 19:29:06
They cheated all the way through that game. That Sargent being the arch perpetrator. As a TV viewer, our fans sounded as off the pace as our team, that could be the placement of microphones and all of that, but I hope some of our anxiety doesn't pass on to the team for the rest of the season. Norwich are a club that being where they are don't deserve to be in English football. Norfolk (forgetting the broad and all those other nice places) is too out on a limb. Full of deformed halfwits with little to do with the modern world. We lost to them and we will again in if we end up in the play offs, what with them cheating and their friendly refs and being halfwits... And us playing like that |
| News Comment | McKenna: A Great Marker For Us at 19:35:11
Its obvious we will win, doubt is the enemy, Leicester are overated and their league position unrealistic, They have a good player, he is out. |
| News Comment | McKenna Proud of the Performance at 08:40:53
We deserved everything from that, the commitment and belief in our team is exceptional. One thing stood out is that Leicester showed a Premiership standard of smart defending, breaking down our attacks early, good interceptions, blocks and all. We never look that composed and that's why I hope we get another season to prepare for the Prem. The last two games showed we need more quality at the back and pace in midfield. With good teams going up and poor teams coming down from the Prem at the end of this season, next years league is the time to do it. Yours sincerely Suave |
| News Comment | Rotherham Boss Apologises to Fans at 08:17:43
More than 2,000 Town supporters were expected at the New York Stadium, although had the game gone ahead many wouldn’t have made it due to a lack of public transport, official coaches having been unable to reach Portman Road and delays on the roads. Everything about this story is how this country has gone to the dogs |
| News Comment | McKenna: Two Teams in Good Form, It's a Really Big Game at 21:33:55
Ugly 1-0 win will do with this one. They'll probably attack heavily first 15 mins and if we get to dampen that down, our better football will even out their momentum. Burgess bludgeoning through or Carroll mis-hit to give us the win in 8oth min. There you go betting fans. |
| News Comment | Morsy: We Were Below Par Against a Good Team at 18:49:06
We weren't at the races, it happens. But have the commenters above forgotten how bad it was last year and arguably for the previous 15? This team are better than the table shows, results will turn our way and we won't be midtable by the end of the season. I know patience doesn't happen in football any more, but I'm looking forward to the next few years and seeing the steps we take to get where everyone seems to want to be tomorrow. |
| News Comment | Cook: Tonight is Probably the First Time We’ve Looked a Team at 07:22:30
A really good performance albeit against a side who will likely continue to struggle this year. This kind of performance always felt that it was coming. So strange that some football supporters haven't been able to see that. The 15 or so years of poor or boring football had such a negative mental impact, leading to some of the strange and wilder posts on here and other ITFC focussed media. If the result of improved performances is to dampen this negativity, it can only be a good thing for everyone involved in and around the club. |
| News Comment | Cook: The Reality is We Need a Little Bit of Time to Gel at 07:16:03
So odd reading these posts. It was so clear last night that the general quality of play from Ipswich (including when we were under the cosh) is so much better than anything we have seen for a number of years It should also be clear to anybody that a team overhaul like the very unusual one we have had will take time to settle and understand eachother. I can only put these comments down to the mental effects of 20 years of supporting sh1te |
