Sorry but I don't post that often but can MM really think we are that stupid to think we believe that Didzy has picked up his injury because of a lot of football was he joking surely he must be? Whilst I am and always will be a true blue supporter I cant tolerate the complete BS this man comes out with treat us with some respect and at least have some honesty man. As some have already said on previous posts there seems to be serious problem with our performances in general but especially the second half how can we paly so badly after the break? Anyway change is needed the club is going backwards and I am deeply disappointed to be writing these negative things about my club a club I have supported sine I was a boy. Bring on the changes and next season assuming that MM isn't here of course.
I agree with those who have said you just don't know until someone actually plays in the premiership. Look at the two Centre Backs playing for the current top of the table side Morgan and Huth would we have said they were good enough a couple of seasons ago to be at that level of performance.
Well done to Ben Pringle we need more goals from midfield so lets hope he keeps scoring.
Whilst I am not surprised we made a number of changes I think that it was clearly too many as some have already alluded to on here. That said the most dissappointing thing for me is that we couldn't even give a team from league two a decent game and given the financial plight they are in they seem to have players who can at least Play decent football. Over the two games they clearly deserved to go through that doesn't make it right for those who travelled all that way. I don't agree with the thought that playing your regular first team or some of them is going cause you to suffer injuries and lose games winning is a habit even against the lower league teams and let's face it there is no guarantee we will make the promised land come the end of season.
Unfortunately I have changed my plans to fly to India on business so I could see the reading game or the cup tie now there is no game at all. Lesson learned never bother to trust your football team.
I think the answer to the question of 'why he is out on loan' is probably down to MM wanting to give him game time and real time league experience in the middle of a back four. Lets face it we have at least four centre backs ahead of him so game time would be limited at PR. Unlike the RB and LB positions which are less clear as to who will play there regularly. We also have a 24 hour recall after 28 days so if we need him we can get him back quickly.
Great to see youngsters looking good and getting a chance to play and gain experience good management it seems by MM and TC. Haven't seen Emmanuel yet as I couldn't get to Brentford but Kenlock and Yorwerth played well on Tuesday. CYOB
Completely agree with those that have said you have to look at his overall game not only has he scored goals but he defends in all areas of the pitch when required. You don't get many strikers who have that sort of game these days and his physical presence is a constant threat to defenders. I also think that Freddie needs someone like Murphy to feed off and their understanding will only improve. Obviously hope he stays and I really cant see him going unless its to a PL team but you never know money talks.
I agree with those who believe we need four strikers never mind whether Murphy stays or goes we cant forget that McGoldrick has had serious injury problems for the last two seasons we really need to cover that issue as well. I am sure MM and TC recognise this and this will provide cover and competition. CYOB
I agree with essextractorboy I don't see why we compare Ming's with Cresswell and why do we criticise our young players when they are still learning their trade!!!! You cant compare the two at the same stage as Cresswell was playing for Tranmere in League One and had a considerable amount Football League games under his belt and Ming's was at Chippenham. (No disrespect to Chippenham intended) Given this is his first season at this level and we know how tough this league is he needs time to develop. That said any offers above 8M and we have to consider that sort of money and what that could do for the team. MM and TC must see something in this lad and they do seem to recognise talent from the lower leagues.
This does seem to be a nice position to be in having said that I cant see why Tyrone gets the criticism as some have said this is his first season at this level. I too have thought at times he looks too casual. Looking at Aaron Cresswell did any of us think in his first season that he would be linked with huge big money moves to the PL. Give Tyrone a chance to gain experience and get the 'bright lights' out of his eyes and we just might just see a real gem in our defence. He still has much to learn but he is young and hopefully he will work hard and progress here at Town.
Well done to players and supporters today they did itfc proud. Whilst I am desperately disappointed this is the first time in years I have had the real excitement of an end of season with something to play for. Mick and terry and the staff have done a fantastic job with little money to spend. Great to see David M back and there was a glimpse of what he can do. We have the structure to compete at the top again next season with a fit and healthy squad who knows what we can do. Enjoy the holidays all see you next season.
I have already commented on the game earlier so I am changing the subject does any one know what's going on with Didz? He was I think due to be back potentially for the Norwich game that was four games ago! Again today I thought he may be on the bench but no sign. Am I missing something here or is he really coming back at all this season there doesn't seem to be very much from either the club or the player perhaps I'm reading too much into this but it does seem odd! We really need him so hopefully he will be back on Tuesday. CYOB.
Can't understand why mm has persisted with a defence that has conceded goals for fun for weeks! Tommy needs a rest and get the players in their correct positions only good points today was Teddy and Murphy very disappointing but let's keep supporting the boys. CYOB.
Can't believe that mm has not changed this defence we have been saying for weeks it's just not working and he does nothing. Teddy and Murphy were the only good things about our side today so much of the game and so defensively poor. 22 attempts on goal only four on target so many corners. Mm sort that defence out or we won't make the play offs. CYOB
I know that being a town fan isn't easy but I do get disappointed when town fans slag off their own players. It seems we have to have a current whipping boy or boys and at the moment its Tabb and Smith. Both these players had good games today and still fans gave a go at them!!!!! Yes I agree Tabb shouldn't be let anywhere near the corners or free kicks but his general play to didn't deserve critism. Earlier this season it was our own Luke Hyam who got the stick now many of you are saying we need him back funny how things change. We're still not out this yet get behind the boys not winge and moan were still in a great position. CYOB.
Whilst I applaud what mm has achieved I really do not understand why he persists with a defence which now giving away goals for fun! We can all see that Bart isn't playing well and should be replaced. We have all been saying for weeks that Chambers must move back to the centre and Smith needs a rest.
So tonight we make changes to the midfield and up front and end up losing the game to further poor defending resulting in goals. It seems mm actually plays more players out of their best position than Some of our previous managers!
Can't believe if we can all see how poor we are in defence and midfield at this time why can't mm and can someone tell me why Tabb is our corner taker omg how bad are they I could get the ball in the box better than that!
Anyway rant over and back again on Saturday to support the lads lets hope the changes are the right ones on Saturday. CYOB
Interesting comments about Connor I think some on this forum may have said the same thing about Murphy great workhorse doesn't score enough goals now he is on fire and doing both. TC is as far as I can tell a great coach and works with the forwards all the time I think MM would be looking to him for advice on these positions.
Loving the season so far first time in years I cant wait for the next game. CYOB
Haven't we been here before I think last season Mick was saying how well a player has done only for them not to start on Saturday or even make the team! Tabb will be on the bench after these comments for sure!
Can't understand why so many of you want Luke Hyam dropped why do you think Skuse is so much better he also gives the ball away at times and has never produced any sort of goal threat. Why change a central midfield that looks to have the best balance we have had all season. Agree our wide men were poor and that's being kind meaning that it's even more remarkable that Woody, Hyam and Williams did so well against a decent Derby side. Let's get behind the lads tomorrow.COYB
I am amazed and disappointed at some of the crap being written on here about a young lad who is still learning his trade. To want an Ipswich player to be out for the season is just disgraceful. Call yourselves town fans we can do without fans like you! We all have opinions but some of these are just stupid. Good luck Luke hope to see you back soon.
Thijssen I agree having got there early we were guided into one of the bays towards the back so it did take the best part of an hour to get out still didnt have to walk too far to the car.
I agree with the comments on here the team worked so hard for the result and perhaps because of the traveling and so many games did look a little tired as our passing seemed a bit off the mark.
MM and TC seem to get so much out of these lads and having spent so little in transfer fees what a squad we now have so much has changed from last year all credit to the management team.
I agree that Hyam whilst not his best game covered so much ground I can see why MM rates him so highly. This team is certainly pulling together and with the addition of SEB things can only get better in my opinion.
Credit to Bournemouth as well they could have lost their way once we scored but kept playing and caused us all sorts of problems. They have some good players and play good football they will cause probelms for lots of teams this season.
Roll on the Charlton game and another three points.
Just give the lad a chance even if he is on the bench to start with which I am sure he will be it gives us another opition and pace that we really dont have. MM and TC may be trying to give our existing wide men something to think about as they need to up their game to stay in the side. Even if Jordan is on the bench its still valuable experience of 1st team football that he cant get at Villa at the moment so that suits Paul Lambert as well. Welcome to Ipswich Jordan looking forward to seeing you play and CYOB.
