Baggott Nets First Bristol Rovers Goal
at 10:35:59

Feel for Elkan.
Not sure why we didn't enable him to progress in the same way that Woolfie has and I'm
disappointed that he hasn't been given a chance to get in the team more regularly as he seems very accomplished..

Not going to happen but it would fascinating to see Omari on the right and Kyle on the left as impact subs.

Burns: Bale's the Greatest British Player of All Time
at 15:51:17

Sorry Wes but not sure he outshines everybody although maybe he was the best in the modern era. (If only he could kick with his right foot as well!)

Heavy competition in the past... George Best, Bobby Charlton, Gordon Banks, George Best, Jimmy Greaves, Stanley Matthews, Bobby Moore, Kenny Dalglish, Billy Wright, Kevin Keegan, John Charles.

McKenna: Clarke a Really Good Fit
at 15:14:56

Not quite sure who he is going to displace as JD has had a good season but looking at his highlight reels he looks very strong on the ball, reads the game well, got an eye for attacking and goals, is a local product and (wait for it) can kick with both feet.

Another good piece of business.
These are exciting times and so different from the Marcus Evans era.

COYB!

Fair assesment by KMk
Things we are good at:
Good manager
Great new structure
First half performances
Right hand side

Things we are not so good at:
Second half performance
Left hand side
Scoring goals
Set plays

I have confidence that our leader will fix these next year so COYB!

McKenna: Referees Need to Be Mindful on Time-Wasting
at 16:55:38

Maybe when an unfouled player goes down the trainer comes on and ,if medically safe, the player is taken off the pitch.
Being a player down might reduce the incentive for these fake injuries.

McKenna: Nothing Close But We Have Targets Across a Couple of Positions
at 16:56:21

I know these player videos can be a little flattering but wow I like the look of this guy.

Great ball control, two footed, good passing ability with speed and flair.

Could be fun to watch.

McGreal: Burns and Coulson Still a Little While Off Returns
at 13:56:15

These two have been a big loss.
I know you mustn't rely on individual players being fit but our left back position continues to be a concern and Burns attacking and supply to Bonne could have just got us out of our present difficulties.

Cook: To Play For This Club, You Have to Carry a Little Bit More Weight on Your Shoulders
at 09:18:09

I like Paul Cook but if he's putting his faith in Skuse and Chambers then he will making the same mistake as the previous managers.
Same talk as before. We need new blood but we're keeping these two.
These two have been the consistent factor in our fall from the championship to league 1.
Chambers is a blocker nothing else. His pace and distribution are woeful.
Lots of appearances doesn't make you a legend. Winning things does.
Skuse just does safe passes so his statistics must look great. Sideway passes the norm so no chance of creating an attack on goal.

Come on Cookey.

Lets go forward with some new thinking. !!

Cook: Owner's Relationship With Previous Managers the Attraction

Fair play to Mick McCarthy though.(and I wasn't a fan of Mick's football style)

Video: Paul Cook's First Town Press Conference and Training Session
at 13:47:56

Great to hear such enthusiasm again and especially talk of more positive play. No more 70% possession and 2 shots on target hopefully. Like his sense of scouse humour as well.

Agree with other posters on the press conference quality. An embarrassment.
A man talking into a laptop to people we cannot see and garbled audio with rubbish in the background is strictly League 1.
Can we aim for Championship public relations as well please?

Like what I'm seeing from the new Paul though.

Here we go !!

Lambert on Blue Action Banner: I Can't Control That
at 21:43:46

I'm not a great fan of keeping it at the back or playing with just one up front but I thought we could have given PL until Christmas before bringing the knives out.
We are still 5th and to be fair there has been glimpses of some attractive football being played when the team's all fit; there are some academy youngsters playing which is what we wanted so I say give him until Christmas and see where we are then.

My Best Town XI: Terry Connor

Admire Terry's honesty on Chambers but a strong manager would have sold him and bought a quality right back.
This would have put the teams needs ahead of the need to make a place for a strong character.
