McKenna: New Investment Good News For Everyone Involved With the Club
at 08:15:50

Really hoping that with the off field improvements planned (cat 1 academy in particular) and the fact that money will be available for transfers, McKenna will be convinced to stay here longer term. Biggest fear if we don’t go up is him getting poached by a Prem club like Brighton. Aside from that, I actually wouldn’t mind us missing promotion and having a summer to sign a few and stabilise before smashing the league next year.

Isn’t it more likely that it’s a back four with Ball at right back? He’s played there before in his career…

Kasımpaşa Confirm Celina Signing
at 13:09:19

Shame, particularly as he was apparently keen to rejoin us. I suspect he's on high wages at his parent club and the Turkish club were willing to pay a higher proportion of them than we were. I can't imagine he would have chosen to play in front of such a tiny crowd if they'd left the choice to him. Ah well, I wish him the best!

Norwood Joins Barnsley
at 11:17:49

Agreed 100% Monkey_Blue. Drink driving is not “making a mistake”, it's a conscious decision to do something unbelievably dangerous to everyone else who might happen to be near by. If he'd hit and injured/killed someone while driving pissed everyone here would be saying what a sh*t he is. Just because he was lucky and didn't cause an accident doesn't mean the decision to drive in that state was anything other than awful. And as you say, being caught on two different occasions strongly suggests he did it a lot more times. Yes he played well for us and I'm grateful for that, but honestly I'm glad he's gone. Don't want people like that anywhere near our club.

McGreal: A Couple Have Had to Drop Out After Coming into Close Contact
at 13:43:41

Fairly sure close contacts only have to isolate if they haven't been vaccinated. Hope that's not the case though…if it is then they shouldn't be playing at all imo, they're putting everyone else at risk.

Keeper Picked Pompey Ahead of Town
at 11:29:37

“I've put a lot of trust in Danny“ definitely very full of his own self importance isn't he…if we had a loan player in I'd hope they'd be focussing on the trust we had put in them, not the other way around!

Former Blues Skipper Edwards Nets Decisive Spot-Kick For Bury
at 07:56:53

I don't think it's anything personal from PC, he just doesn't think they're good enough and I think if we're all completely honest, we would have to agree. He's made it clear to them they aren't in his plans, better that they train with the u23s and get a run out here than not at all. Jackson was useless last season, Kenlock and Bishop haven't really kicked on from promising starts and the simple fact is, they won't get anywhere near our first team next year if PC gets his targets in. I honestly think it would be worse man management to have them training with the first team now, only to be dropped from the squad come the start of the season. This way they can focus on staying fit and looking for a new club.

Bolton Targeting Nsiala Move
at 17:41:19

I was at the boxing day game and he looked like a player completely shot of confidence...much as he seems like a nice guy, I have never seen a professional footballer completely miss the ball when trying to kick it multiple times in a match. Having said that, the recovering slide tackle he made after the first miss kick was truly brilliant...

Fresh start for him and some money back for us would seem like a good deal for both parties.

Lambert: Woolfenden's Going to Be a Really Good Player
at 19:10:09

Woolfenden, Emmanuel, Kenlock, Dozzell, Downes, Nydam, Bishop, Lankaster...and I know there's several more I'm forgetting, plus the U23s have been tearing up their (admittedly not great quality) league. The club is in trouble in many ways, but one big plus is it looks like we're producing plenty of good quality youngsters who seem to be not far off first team standard already

Lambert: Club Needs to Be Rebuilt, Some Players Will Go
at 18:17:05

Good to hear that he's under no delusions about where we are at, not that I'd expect anything else from Lambert. I genuinely think he has the attitude and ability to do something about the state we are in at the moment, rather than a bullying egomaniac like Keane or Hurst. Relegation is pretty much inevitable, but we have a good bunch of youngsters coming through and I genuinely think Lambert has the right idea about how this club should be run. I hope he is able to make a few decent signings this transfer window and get rid of some of the rubbish that we've ended up with and then at least give us a bit of pride to finish the season with. Our chances of bouncing back up will be so much higher if we can get a bit of confidence back in the second half of the season...

Hopefully things can only improve from here, because this has got to be about as low as we've ever been as a club.

Town Meet Shrews' Valuation for Nsiala and Nolan as Signings Get Closer
at 10:01:17

Excellent news, not sure about Nsiala but Hurst clearly rates him and I trust his judgment. Nolan looks pure class though, really hope we can get this done as I think he could be the answer to our missing midfield creativity problem that in all honesty I think we've had since we were in the premier league!

EACH Logo to Appear on Junior Shirts
at 12:22:32

Clearly an advertising ploy to get fans on board, but at the end of the day it's getting free publicity for an excellent cause. Still not thrilled about them being our sponsor but credit where credit is due, it's a good move for all concerned.

Now I wonder how big they make the junior shirts...

Charlton, Scunthorpe and Bradford Linked With Moore
at 11:14:05

Bring him back, play him up top with garner/McG. We've been crying out for someone with a bit of physical presence up top since Murph left. And no, I don't mean so that we can play long balls up to him, the simple fact is that none of our current strikers can bully defenders. Him up top with someone alongside and Celina and Waghorn our wide would be a nicely balanced front line that would be able to break down defences...against qpr we struggled because no one was getting in the middle and causing their defence problems, plenty of crosses going in and no one on the end of them. Would love to see him given a proper chance...he's only 25 and has been scoring goals for fun in League 1, exactly what we need!

McCarthy Feels for Frustrated Bishop
at 22:24:22

Thing to remember is he's still only 21, a lot of these injuries can probably be put down to not being fully physically developed and will hopefully stop as he gets older and stronger. Can only assume he's been spending a lot of time in the gym and on strength and conditioning as he's been out for so long...may well be a much better player in the long run by having to overcome so much. Will be like a new signing if he makes it back this season!

All-Change for Town at Palace
at 14:52:40

12th_man what do you expect him to do? He has 8 fit first team players who have all played 4 league games in 3 weeks with another on Saturday. I think it's great that the kids are getting a run out against what will likely be a weakened palace team, let's get behind them and see what happens! If we lose, who cares I'd rather we concentrate on the League, if we win it will be a famous one and will be amazing for all the youngsters involved!

Loving the feel good atmosphere that's back in the club...let's keep it going and who knows what could happen. COYB!

Rangers Striker Waghorn Set to Join Blues
at 06:33:54

Not sure how anyone can complain with us permanently signing a 27 year old striker who's scored 44 in 63 including 16 last season...fee paid, permanent, good age, not a cart horse, clearly had an eye for goal, likely to know Garner well, how on earth can this not be a good thing??

McGoldrick Revelling in Striking Role Alongside Sears
at 13:33:32

I think a really telling thing about the tap in goal against Newcastle was that Sears actually squared it to him. In previous games Sears was so desperate for a goal he's been shooting from ridiculous angles, but that pass for a tap in was the sign of a pair of strikers who are growing in confidence and learning to play together. The combination of Sears pace and Didzy's skill can terrify any defence...hope they get a good run together next season with a settled midfield behind them! Signing Huws must be Mick's #1 priority this summer, surely.

What the Hell Have We Done to Deserve This? - Notes for Rotherham
at 11:52:23

Hope our youngsters can have some fun against them tomorrow...by the looks of it their squad checked out and went on holiday weeks ago.

Also - The Sheffield Wednesday team shown in the middle of the Wigan vs. Rotherham section threw me for a minute there...was very surprised to see Hooper leading the line for Rotherham!
