These are the kind of players we want at our club. Someone who puts the effort in on the pitch and understands their privileged position when off the pitch. It is one thing to donate some cash but he has actually made the effort and spent some time.
I just hope he can make it as a player with Ipswich.

I have watched Priskin since he ame to the UK and seen quite a few games at Watford. The Watford dupporters rate him. However he needs confidence and to play in a footballing side. Hence he struggled a bit under Boothroyd but had a great record under Rodgers.
I think Scotland may scoe more but Priskin is a very clever player and will create a lot, and if given the chances will put away his full share. It is a sign of his personality that he has kept quiet until now, and his comments suggest he has now settled. I am convinced that Keane considered his friendship with Fulop in that deal and that is good management.
Keane has stuck by him - possibly expected - given he ws one of his biggest signings, but he has not hesitated to get rid of others (e.g Martin) if he does not think they are up to it.
So leave him alone. Even with Wickham returning we will need all of our strikers on top form. Remembers Wickham's age and that it will take him a while to get back to match fitness. |
