Wilder: Waghorn Valuation Too Steep for Blades
Gutted we are selling our best player by a country mile but if he wants to leave then what else can we do.It's great that we are signing young hungry players but they need to be complimented by one or two experienced heads. Enthusiasm will certainly be refreshing to see on the pitch but could soon be quashed with a couple of heavy defeats. Its going to be interesting to see it all unfold this season and how PH adapts to Championship football.
Sunderland Agree Terms With Ross
Absolutely Gutted we couldn't get Jack Ross as he is a top class manager in the making who will be managing Scotland at some point. Very highly rated and watching his interviews he is superb with the media and the fans. Would be interested to see how he copes if he goes through a bad spell. Putting all our eggs in the Hurst basket is dangerous as we are not the only Championship club looking for the next up and coming manager.
Smith Misses Training and Remains Doubt Ahead of World Cup Play-Off Second Leg
A fully fit and match fit Tommy is our best defender at the club but unfortunately it's been a long time since he was injury free. Granted he is not technically gifted but he is the best headerer of ball we have and in the Championship that is vital.
I'm sure if you look back at our best period for clean sheets since Mick took over Smith and Chambers were the central partnership, admittedly they may have been four years ago but people soon forget. Also a goal threat from set pieces.
I do agree though he is not currently playing well enough to start but don't give up on him.
McCarthy Taking No Risks With Bishop's Fitness
Bru has certainly got some ability but has a knack of going missing for long periods in games. I was personally disappointed with him last season as he had a great opportunity to be our creative flare we all craved especially with Bishop out all season and Fraser out for long spells but he couldn't grab the chance offered.
Smith: Important to Learn From Mistakes
I'm very concerned about the high level of moronic comments from Town fans of late. I find it embarrassing to read some of these laughable opinions and just hope that other clubs fans never read them.
Smith International Retirement Threat Claim
Stearman was the best right back we have had at the club in years and was a huge influence in our survival last season so I for one would welcome him with open arms. Berra has been playing well but you could argue that Smith and Chambers are a better central partnership due to the number of clean sheets they kept last season.
