| News Comment | Lincoln Replay Live on BBC One at 18:23:43
Can't wait for the studio discussion about our current situation and Lineker or some pundit going on about what a great manager MM is and "careful what you wish for". Come and watch us every week; we certainly don't wish for what we see..... |
| News Comment | McCarthy: Difference Between the Sides a Penalty and a Worldy at 19:29:06
So MM, you've no complaints about the performance but you weren't happy that we didn't make their keeper make enough saves? Well that's a contradiction in itself. Do you have the faintest idea what you are dribbling on about nowadays? Clearly not. Please can this dinosaur leave the club so I can actually start to care what happens each week? There's no way I'm renewing my ST next year if this relic is still in charge. |
| News Comment | McCarthy: No Complaints About Style When We Were in the Top Six at 14:04:01
My brother went in for a raffle at a quiz evening the other day. His ticket was eventually pulled out and he went up to choose a prize from the table. Seventeen of the twenty prizes had already gone, of the three remaining one was a pair of tickets to the Town v MK Dons game. There would have been a time where a prize like this worth over £60 would have been gobbled up straight away; just goes to show how poor things are to watch when no-one wants them even if they're being given away! So please Mick, don't give us that rubbish about how it's all about league placings, because it isn't. It's about how boring your style of football is to watch. My brother still chose the tickets though; probably only because the other prizes left were likely a perfume set and a book on flower arranging. I've warned him what he's in for! |
| News Comment | Town Increase Season Ticket Prices at 14:06:08
I don't think people are turning their back on the club by not renewing. Loyalty is a two way strret: in return for my money I expect to be entertained and for the club to show ambition. Neither is happening. I will always love the club but I can no longer justify £1400 per year for my family to watch the dire fare currently on offer. |
| News Comment | HMRC Behind Winding-Up Order at 18:05:47
This is how ME works. He pays everyone at the very last minute, whether it's the shop on the corner or HMRC. It doesn't win many friends that's for sure. |
| News Comment | Leeds Boss Evans Clarifies Town Comments at 10:47:41
We know exactly what you meant at the time Evans, you were bitter after letting in an injury time goal. You were disparaging and were called out on it, now you're trying to backtrack. Just go away. |
| News Comment | Happy Valley for Town Once Again? at 13:45:12
I'm sure that Jonny Parr is delighted to hear that he isn't part of our "best back four". Suggests that we can let in any number of goals and things won't change. |
| News Comment | McCarthy: We'd Probably Have Nicked That Last Year at 19:35:16
If MM thinks that was good enough today, he's either lying, deluded or easily pleased. The second half was awful, no shots on goal at all when we should be battering the door down. So little invention going forward, just lots of hoofball. Need to start taking the game to teams at home; at the moment we are simply not doing that. |
| Blog Comment | Mick Not the Man for Town (Part Two) at 17:35:20
"Mick did really well to keep us away from relegation but we don't owe him the freedom of the city as a result." I very much agree with this comment, that is the past and I would rather judge MM by what is currently happening, which concerns me. For instance, we have been leaking goals since January but it seems the same defenders will get picked week in week out regardless. I don't want MM out, I want him to sort it out, but I'm not going to pretend I would be devastated if he did go. Last season we were doing well whilst playing mostly unattractive football, which fans will naturally be ok with, but this season we are failing whilst playing the same style, which people will get fed up with pretty quickly. |
| News Comment | Leeds Midfielder Linked at 13:12:41
Bolton are the Norwich of the North as far as I am concerned! Leeds are hardly likely to loan him to us if they could have got half a million for him two weeks ago. Typical tabloid nonsense from The Sun. |
| News Comment | Murphy Back for Blues at 19:39:26
Agree with that team Sam White, although you can't have Hyam on the bench at the moment, he is injured. |
| News Comment | Hunt to Return to Leeds at 20:21:43
Mick being very coy there; sounds like negotiating tactics and Leeds are probably dragging their feet. I strongly suspect NH will end up signing again during January either on loan or permanently. |
| News Comment | A Real Test Of How Far We've Come Under Lennon - Notes for Bolton at 13:04:02
I hate Bolton almost as much as I hate Norwich. A bunch of whingeing babies who can't accept that a referee didn't allow them to kick, hack and judo throw us off the park that night back in 2000. And STILL they don't shut up about it. I hope we absolutely stuff them. Great work Harry by the way! |
| News Comment | Hunt Joining Town On Loan at 19:05:05
Bent will apparently cost Brighton £40K a week, so that answers the question as to why we have not gone in for him. I for one don't want us pinning our hopes on trying to relive a bygone era by spending that kind of money on a loan striker. Noel Hunt? On the face of it not exciting, but he may just need a change of club; perhaps the Irish connections and his brother being here will help. Yes, not all of MM's signings have been a success, but let's judge him AFTER we have seen him. |
| News Comment | Wordsworth Joins Rotherham at 13:51:50
I assume that, being loans, it will be part of the deal that neither Taylor or Wordsworth will be eligible to play against us. |
| News Comment | Town Announce Squad Numbers at 13:41:14
Lots of numbers available between 12 and 18 for all those lovely future new signings! (Although I suspect no-one will wear 13) |
| News Comment | Tunnicliffe Joins Wigan at 18:07:52
Good luck to him, but not really that fussed. We already have far too many midfielders who don't score and create very little, so we don't need another one pushing the few creative ones we do have even further down the pecking order. |
