|What would have happened without the sell ons?|
at 08:32 9 Jul 2019
We accept that we have a 9mil deficit which came with relegation, we let players go and reduced players wages to help offset this a little. We brought in a few freebies (probably on relatively low wages) so surely we had reached an operating standard we could see the season through with. So why is this sell on money not available to use? I can only think Bart not going and the fee we would have received for him needed to be matched. Well I guess we’ve done that and more with these surely non-anticipated windfalls we are getting.
So would we have gone under without these windfalls, if not then why isn’t the money available for decent loans or nominal fees?

For anyone interested the Gibraltar U21s lost 1-0 away to Cyprus yesterday. The young Ipswich Lad (Ronan) played the full 90 (along with my son)! Interestingly there was 5 subs alowed in this match, which is now the norm for the EURO U21 qualifiers! Only Portugal, Holland, Norway and Belarus to go!

I’m sure the last time I saw Ian Culverhouse was when my sons team played Kings Lynn in the Southern Prem last season. I think he was their manager

Since GB has anyone leaving us gone on to manage again, yes RK is assistant at Ireland but that’s not directly managing another team?
Interesting were hurst might turn up next L2 maybe L1 if he’s very lucky

Like everyone that’s reply’d, I believe Thais wasn’t one of our Fans just some local d**k waisted on some substance. Hope your old man makes a full recovery and wants to return to Portman Road in the future.

Agreed. I went in the summer and it was a lovely summers day. It’s only a small thing but I also think going in the winter is even more of an experience. One I garentee you will never forget.stand at the end of the railway track in berconau (sorry spelling) and visualize what happened there. Haunting truly horrible.
|Good luck to my son and the Gibraltar U21s|

Flys out to Gib ready for their Under 21s qualifier against Macedonia Tuesday afternoon. Hopefully get his second cap! Yes I know it’s only Gibraltar but believe me these boys are passionate about their football. Lost to Armenia 1-0 away on Monday so not far away from their first ever international points.

All the best to the lad.
Focus on your rehab and you will be back ready to play a major role for next season.
Our first new signing of the 18-19 season

There will still be some that do!
What a f in joke.
Wolves have a player more highly rated than dozzell who is same age, he has just gone on loan to shewsbury. (Niall Ennis) what I'm saying here is please don't think that our 18 year olds will be our saviors this year.
One week to go?????

I agree with you. We have all been grasping at the fact that he's one of our own. Whilst this is great to see, it shouldn't give them special treatment if they are just not good enough. Put it this way I'm not sure there would be many championship clubs clamouring for him should he be made available. I have nothing against him but I don't think he is what we need to move forward

The same Bournemouth that has a 12000 seater stadium ???

Yes I seem to remember now, but confusing that we didn't want him but he was snapped up by West Ham?

Wasn't that the guy that left us for West Ham?
Well he's not being offered a new contract with them! Sometimes the grass isnt greener!

Great post, echo your sentiment totally. I'm from the same era as you. I will not go to Ipswich again until there is drastic changes, that does include MM leaving. He is not the modern era, he's not even recent. Like you I have absolutely no idea how bad things must become before action is taken.
This season promises to be the worse yet. Nothing has changed, not even the friendlys. We need to stop going. Banners, booing, that hasn't worked. Even a half empty ground isn't working. If we want change, then sub 10k attendances (real sub 10k and not when they add the season tickets on to the list)
I will never stop supporting Ipswich but at this moment I have stopped caring, which hurts a lot.

I think I tipify a lot of long term supporters that live far to far away to get a season ticket but go as much as they can. I didn't go last year and went once the year before. I do not see any point in throwing over £100 away to watch a club I've supported since the 70s. It pains me to have this apathy but that's only because I want Ipswich to be something like the teams of the past. With players your excited to watch. It's not all about winning, it's never been about that, it's a connection with a team that your proud to support, proud to tell people you support. For me it's unbelievable that MM is still here and as for Milne, he tipifys everything bad about this once family orientated great club.
Get rid of MM, Get rid of his clique, get rid of Milne oh and Evans if your not committed please sell up. Can't believe it's looking like another wasted season already and it hasn't even started yet.

Wasn't part of the reason Murphy left in the first place was to move back up north? Or was that just Flannel?
It's a no thanks from me. Prefer to remember the Murph we used to have not one that will get pellets from us when he turns out to be not as good as we remembered.
