Norwich, West Brom and Millwall Games on Sky
at 00:05:34

So is every mid week game available to watch on sky red button / arena for the rest of the season? And has that been the case since the start if the season?

This is from the Sky EFL highlights where they show 10-15 mins highlights per match on sky. Obviously felt they needed to show certain incidents or make up the viewing time.

Reading 2-2 Ipswich Town (1-3 on Penalties) - Match Report
at 00:17:54

Williams and Hutchinson both have the look of players who are doing us a favour by playing for us. Hutchinson isn't a winger, his delivery on the run is poor, keot checking back nearly every time (apart from the goal), so the defender could check him every time. Also sauntered across the pitch to take corners keeping everyone waiting despite us losing at the time. Williams is too cocky for a full back. Far too many unnecessary touches and step overs for a defender and then lost it. Unlucky for the own goal. Could've been sent off had the ref seen his petulant kick out at the Reading player.

Ladapo looked lazy and barely made any runs, Humpreys was wasted in the left forward position and should've swapped with Harness who was ineffective. Edmondson generally was decent with his positioning and reading of the game until the 87th minute.

Baggott looked good though, commanding in the air, read the game well, should've scored with a header.

Despite all that negativity, we controlled 90% of the game and should've easily won. Own goal aside they had nothing first half, and nothing until the last 10 mins of the second half. We just need to make better decisions in the final third. Aluko looked good when he came own, some great touches around the box, could've done with him starting.

Commentator Woolley Celebrating 20 Years on Mic

I much prefer Brenner's commentary to the current iFollow. Brenner's “negative” style is very truthful and probably very reflective of how most fans generally feel about their team when they make mistakes or aren't playing to their potential.

If we'd not conceded the late goals at Charlton, I suspect McKenna would've won it. The Lincoln result was a freak one based on that stats.

Dozzell's QPR Move Confirmed
at 16:21:46

£1m seems a bit low for trigger clause that was signed only back in December. Unless that was the only way to tie him down then. Thought we could've bumped that up more and always accepted a lower offer anyway. Hopefully QPR or the next club can unlock his true potential. He'll need to show more than just good passing to progress further.

Five Changes as Vincent-Young Returns and Chambers Drops to Bench
at 12:16:27

Interesting drop of Chambers to bring McGuiness back in. In terms of overall output, I don't think there's much difference between those 2 despite their very different style of play. I wonder if it's to see how Woolfenden and KVY play without Chambers' influence next to them (and the rest of the team) and gives them a chance to step up and show leadership rather than always being in Chambers' shadow. Other than Ward though, this is a very quiet starting 11.

Cook: AFC Wimbledon Match Will Define Our Season
at 14:05:40

If we win, it'll keep the hope alive until the weekend, but if we drop points and Lincoln and Portsmouth both win, that should be it for us then, and I'd then expect more experimentation and rotation on the remaining games as Cook runs his eye over who he wants to keep for next season. A win is only a good result if you can build on it in subsequent games. We've been fortunate in that we've not had good results and somehow or other still seem to be near the play offs.

Cook: If You Want to Be Here, We Need to See More
at 13:58:41

Whilst a big clear out would be what is needed, we will still have to keep some constants from the team during that phasing into a new team. If we have 6/7 new signings in the 11 on the first day of next season, it'll be very hard for them as a team to play together no matter what the pre season friendlies may show. I'd expect a few one year extensions on lower wages maybe for some of the more experienced players (should they accept), and for them to start the season and gradually but quickly be phased out of the starting 11.

Donacien Completes Fleetwood Loan Switch
at 20:02:57

Heathen66, I think you're bang on. The loan is surely a precautionary measure in case (fingers crossed) a new manager is in place at the end of the season, they'll be able work out if they see a future for him here, plus he'll have been playing first team football at this level for the next few months so his qualities will be evident for all to see. Or evans genuinely thinks we could get promoted and an unwanted championship defender would cost more than an unwanted league one defender.

Ipswich Town 1-4 Peterborough United - Match Report
at 17:14:55

If there's any truth in the rumours of Norris's loan deal (where we have to pay a fee in the region of £100k if he doesn't play 20 league games, or that we get £100k for playing him in 20 league games), the best bit of January transfer business Evans could've done is pay that fee and put Holy back in the team. He's costing us points regularly now, not just today. He's been directly at fault for goals against 4 of the top 6 teams and at the end of the season we could be rueing that decision (regardless of whether there's any loan penalty or not). He's a decent shot stopper, but no better than Holy in that respect, and his decision making and concentration just isn't there demonstrating his inexperience. He'll want to keep playing but Lambert and co should be recognising this and dropping him. Plus, if we are going to play long ball, Holy's kicking is better than Norris's.

Blades Linked With £3m Woolfenden Move
at 12:27:44

I'd hate him to leave. He's worth far more than £3m to us, but that's not how the market works. I think that's a fair offer from Sheff Utd. He's only really done one season in League Two and half a season in League One in a team that are one of the favourites to go up. It's a huge jump to Premiership from League One especially for a defender. They wouldn't play him for a year or so anyway I suspect. Probably keep him here on loan until the end of the season, then loan him to a championship club (hopefully us again) the following season and depending on how he does, look to integrate him into their team then. £3m is quite a big gamble for a team like Sheff Utd.

Exeter City 2-1 Ipswich Town - Match Report
at 17:10:46

The players alone are more than good enough to be beating a league two reserve team, the problem is that there isn't an adequate coaching team in place in order to get the best out of them tactically, physically or mentally. The majority of these players have proved that they can compete at championship level (last season aside) and yet they look devoid of any attacking creativity. Since the appointment of Hurst and now Lambert these players have all gone backwards and had it not been for a couple of youngsters, I suspect we'd be mid-table at best and certainly not offering Lambert a 5 year contract.

Lambert: Owner Evans Paid Me the Biggest Compliment
at 16:20:12

BeattiesBackPocket - I don't think we've had the right scouts or the right coaches for a number of years to either bring in creative talent or bring on our own creative talent in terms of midfield. We've always resorted to resolute but bland tough tackling central midfield options and wingers who have to continually track back to protect ineffective full backs. Progressive football is about taking risks - we haven't done that for years. The two most influential players in Chambers and Skuse (in terms of playing style) must be draining for the rest of the team. One hoofs it long and one plays it safe and sideways.

Lambert: Owner Evans Paid Me the Biggest Compliment
at 12:42:23

Any customer relations manager or marketing manager without any knowledge of football could've and should've done this years ago. It shouldn't fall on the manager to rebuild the fan base, he should be spending more time with the team on tactics, formation and discipline. Embarrassingly, a customer relations manager or marketing manager without any knowledge of football could have done no worse in the last ten games than we have.

Strong bench, stronger than the 11 playing ahead of them, but I'd wish we'd stick with a consistent team from week to week including picking and sticking by a keeper.
