Antivirus protection
at 13:25 9 Mar 2020

Not Corona related..... But what is the best/most practical antivirus protection going for laptop use, paid or free?

I've had Norton in the past but that just consumes the laptop and wondered what good alternates there are out there.

Cheers,

Moaning about those who went on the pitch yesterday!
at 07:50 19 Jan 2020

Wonder how many of those moaning about the fans who went on the pitch yesterday were part of the north stand in the 90s when it was pretty much an every goal thing that fans jumped the wall for a little celebration on the pitch!

I get that there may be laws and rules bla bla bla, but calling people a disgrace and embarrassment to the club is so OTT and typical of the easily offended society we live in today.

Can’t beat the emotion of a goal, particularly a winner from behind. Good on em!

Laptop recommendations
at 07:09 1 Dec 2019

Morning all, I’m in need of a new laptop and interested in what experiences and recommendations people have.

I’m terms of use it will be mostly MS Office, web browsing and possibly a save or two of FM, family photos etc I tend to put on an external HD. My last laptop got to the point of becoming so sluggish and impossible to function before slowly dying.

Bolton - BBC Manchester reporter on BBC Suffolk this morning
at 08:33 28 Aug 2019

Saying that while they have been given a 14 day extension the administrators have said there are not funds left to carry on for that period, so in effect could start the winding up process today. Presumably if there was a fit a serious buyer there would be a way to see through that period, but by no means does it sound like they are near to being out of the woods....

He obviously spoke about Bury also and said how some fans went to Steve Dale's house last night to vent their anger at him. How there were grown men on their knees crying as it's their institution that while still in existence has nowhere to play and the very real likelihood it will be liquidated.

Some very sobering thoughts on the drive in listening to it all and thinking how something within the game needs to change to stop this situation happening again for others.

Anyone been to any of the CI in April before? Looking at going next year in the earlier part of the month. Google suggests temp will be early 20s but just interested in people's actual experiences of the climate that time of year.

Somewhat stating the obvious I know but ST/matchday pricing next season is key
at 08:35 14 Feb 2019

Recent games and last night in particular showed that there is still the support out there, even with the club in the position it is now.

We're going to go down, I don't think we can believe otherwise. So what do the club do? Stick with current or very similar pricing structure and in all reality lose number off the ST holders and less match by match purchases. Or lower prices to try and entice more people through the gates each game.

Obviously there is a sweet spot for the club from a financial perspective, but for me it goes beyond that. Attendances like last night will work in our favour in L1. If we can get it right on the pitch it will be a positive place for our players to play, create that momentum that PL has spoken about. If we end up with gates under 12k it will feel quite soulless and be an easier place to play for opposition teams.

Hope the club are giving this some serious thought and not just being flippant about it.

Really hope that all those who can go tomorrow (ST holder or not) do....
at 08:40 27 Nov 2018

Friday showed that we can still pull in a crowd and if the club ever needed the fans it is now. Tomorrow is a game in my view that could be pivotal in how the season turns out. Loose and I fear we will be cut to far adrift, win and we will give ourselves a right chance of being in touch come the the turn of the year.

Yes you can watch it on TV, but you can't show your support through it. So i'd urge anyone that can make it to do so......

atmosphere.

I'm sure i'll get shot down for this, but I do find it frustrating that we have so many fans that frequent the NSL but have zero intention of trying to generate an atmosphere or join in with others that are trying.

My tin hat is now on so fire away.

Has anyone on here done it?

Been talking about doing it with a few mates over the weekend and we are keen to look into it further and move planning on, so would be good to have any feedback from people who have done it.

Keen to hear of general experiences as well as pros and cons between organised tours vs self planned etc. Leaning towards organised based on what i've read.
