100% - my sister works in the Media up there and even she can't get a ticket, but I suspect demand will drop right off as soon as they cannot get into play-offs You might find home demand is especially high due to the F.A Cup too - ie. you buy tickets for the home games = ensure you get a ticket for the final |

I am in block 5 and it was not fine at all, it was awful, there are only about 5 of us in the entire block that bother singing. I have to agree with the sentiment of the OP. The positive of last night was that the crowd was not nervous and generally upbeat, but as for noise levels, it was poor by any stretch of the imagination. [Post edited 11 Apr 17:38]

Its heads down, lets go again on Saturday and hope it is better. People will have more beer in them then which definitely helps. So the subject does need revisiting imo (in the close season) |

Main threats are 18 and 25 - Asprilla and Dennis They struggle to deal with set pieces, esp corners Most of their corners hit the 1st man They will play on the counter and down the wide channels through 18 and 25 |

If the match does not got to plan and we find ourselves down by one, two or even three goals, this is when the team needs us the most, so any ‘rollers’ that get going please join in with, whether it is blue army, blue and white army or when the town, please use every breath to support these songs as they change game outcomes |

Negativity is never particularly useful, but I would say it is damaging right now so if you can try and wind your neck in for a few more weeks, that would be most useful [Post edited 9 Apr 6:40]

| Forum Reply | Phil can you ask the club to clarify this ticket situation? at 21:03 7 Apr 2024
We need to move on starting from tomorrow and put this behind us. Ashton has done a fantastic job since arriving and works his ass for the club, lets not widen the scope of the debate. As Phil says the club will read and consume what has been posted and no doubt adjust any future ticketing policy as it sees fit. It is not entirely straight forward to say no to people that have actively supported the club so we have to consider Ashton has a fine line to tread. Hopefully he realises this needs tweaking. I think it is in the best interests of the club if we drop it now and get ready for Wednesday as it was not the players who setup the ticketing policy or the manager, so lets make Portman road a fortress for the next two games |

I think you are missing the point. Point 1: No-one has a problem with staff getting benefits and I would hope they do get perks. But Norwich away is not the place to offer them. The entire points allocation has been put in place to reward loyalty to fans who have travelled all over the country, week in, week out, spending their hard earned money. One of the supporters 'perks' in offering up this level of loyalty, is to be able to attend the Norwich away game. Point 2 is that the team need their most vociferous support away to Norwich. It benefits the team, and we just lost 3 crucial points at an incredibly important stage of the season. We are all angry, we just lost to Norwich and it was a fairly gutless performance lets be honest. As Kieron said, lets hope there is a reaction on Wednesday. |

I think with sponsors and people like Fabio, who by the way is doing wonders for the club, promoting them to a different audience, is that 'its tricky'. I mean if I chucked in £10-100k into the club, I too would expect some kick backs. We want to be successful, we need money coming in, thats the bottom line. So 'its not easy' I suspect. Having said that, back office staff should not be qualifying for tickets away to Norwich, we do need to bring our A game support wise to these types of fixtures. |

deserve is the wrong word, but I think what the poster means is if you attend more games you should have a higher priority. The ticketing system is incredibly difficult to get right for sure, but the only system I can see working well, is people buying into a certain level of commitment each year. So, a bit like a season ticket at home, you buy a season ticket away. Now, I know this used to exist! But I would suggest there could be different tiers, so Gold, Silver and Bronze. Then, if you buy Gold, you go every away game, no arguments. A Silver allows you to have secondary priority in maybe 12 away games per season. A Bronze commits you to 6 away games. Something along those lines, then every season, people can buy into a tier. You also have to get your ticket scanned at the ground to register attendance. Where you have over subscriptions for games, it goes into a pure lottery (for the band you are in). [Post edited 7 Apr 17:33]

Well, 400 means we are 20% down on singers anyway. Then you can safely assume that there is a diehard section of our fans of around 400-500 who have followed the club for the past 1,000 years and go everywhere, but they are not necessarily the most vociferous demographic. So straight away, you are down to 1,000 diluted. It appeared that a lot of the 400 give aways were handed out to people towards the back of the stand. This is where you want your singers, because the noise carries out across the roof and gets everyone else joining in. I was up the back, and there were some singers around, but nowhere enough. But I do largely agree with your sentiment that fans in general are not making enough effort to support the team. I suspect like Wagner said yesterday, that he was largely lying in most matches saying the 'support is great', I suspect the players will also feel pretty let down by the support they got yesterday, because for large parts of the 2nd half, you would not know we had any supporters there. If you were there yesterday, you should have lost your voice today. |

We just have to get fully behind them on Wednesday, they are going to need it I feel. I really wish people would understand the profound effect of the entire fan base singing blue + white army on repeat for 30 mins has. I know people get bored of the song and get fed up with it, but its really not about us, it is about the effect it has on the players. The effect is huge, it is game changing. If we had sung that non stop for the last 30 mins of the game, we would have got something out of it, we would have neutralised the Norwich singing too. I mean all want the same thing I think. So, why don't people get this? |
