Gus Uhlenbeek lived in my grandparents old house on constable Rd during the 90's.

I thought it was fairly exiting at the time. Bit underwhelming now really! |

Had a random thought at the start of the season that between myself (first game around 1990) and my grandfather (first game fairly certain pre ww2 around the time we turned professional) that we quite likely hadn't gone a season without attending a minimum of at least 1 game.
Then clearly the "covid " season blew that theory out as didn't get to any of the few 3k capacity games.
A fairly decent effort I thought.
There must be loads of baton handing over longevity efforts that can top that going through family attendance possibly back to the Broomhill days!? |

Saw Chris Kiwomya in the Shepherd and Dog may 1991.was there for my 10th birthday .eventually plucked up my courage to awkwardly wished him good luck for the upcoming game. "Cheers Lad" was his response and he headed off in his club sponsored car. |

Think he just tries to hard (if that's a thing) sometimes. Happened last season when he wasn't getting the space on the edge of the box he usually creates for himself again "lesser" opposition where he got his goals last season. Think he needs to relax a bit more against "the low block" . Still a top player at this level and will reach double figures no problem |

I look through the squad and love every player. 100% committed to the shirt.100% bought into the ethos. 100% want to be here (or so it seems).
In my earlier years of going under Lyall and Burley we had some great sides and great players and I was in awe of loads of them. There was,however 1 or 2 players in any of those sides I thought, yeah but.....meh. I know we haven't hit the heights of those teams but so proud of everyone of them especially as others have said,who were down for "needs upgrading "Donacian, Jackson.

Could well come down to goal difference if form continues for 2nd place...and we have the better G.D than Plymouth and Barnsley. I rekon 98 points is about right though....

Kirton White horse.
The legend that was Fred Pitt (God rest his sole) was, at one stage the longest serving publican in the county. There was, I believe an article in the evening star 15 or so years ago.
Had to dodge the dart board which crossed the back door on the way to the outside toilets, if the beer was off it was always because of the lightning strikes a few days before...lovely stuff.
Was back in the village last year so popped in, now serving food and has indoor facilities!! |

Somehow get it done by the end of April. Imagine going to Fleetwood last game needing something when they are scrapping to stay up.

1 defeat
Leaves us on 94 points. If we don't get top 2 with a game to go from that position then you have to hold your hands up...and go into the play offs.
Sheffield Wed v Derby last game is epic...ideally they are on 91 points after 45 games and Plymouth on 90....
Clearly no more second chances and we have to win next 6 games, save the 3 draws and a defeat to the 4 tough away games in March and April.
All amazing in theory...in reality....we will see... |

Think it will need to be 22 out of 24 the way the top 2 are not slipping up.
Will simply have top beat the bottom 6 and Sheff Wed.A draw against Bristol Rovers then see...anything less won't be enough now. |
