Yep same here. The Sheff Utd vs Forest game was a cracker. Hoping Forest go up. Haven't got the cup final on, couldn't care less who wins that. Love watching all the play offs games. |
| Forum Reply | HNY! Running shoes question.. at 20:13 2 Jan 2022
Most important thing would be first get your running gait analysed. That will tell you exactly what type of running shoe you need. Will save money long term and get the best shoes for you will lesson the chances of injuries. |
| Forum Reply | No masks…..awful…utter disgrace. at 10:06 30 Aug 2021
Those please wear masks signs are probably still there from lockdowns. Staff of any shops cant force people to wear masks now anyway. I do wear one when I do a big busy supermarket shop, but that's the only time I wear one these days. As for hand sanitisers, simply take your own if it bothers you that much, why expect others to provide them for you. If you feel you want or need to wear masks still, then that's perfectly fine as your choice, but don't knock others for not wearing them anymore. Everyone should respect all peoples choices now. |
| Forum Reply | Snowdonia - anyone hiked the big mountain (Snowdon?) there? at 14:51 1 May 2021
The most important thing to take is a decent pair of walking/hiking footwear. I wouldn't wear running shoes even if you feel most comfortable in them. I walked up and down the LLanberis path a few years ago, got lucky with a nice sunny day, but even then it was quite windy at the top. I found going up was the easy part, as coming down can be hard on the legs after a long climb. Other things to take would be a warm and waterproof coat (even if forecast says no rain), plenty of food and drink, and a few plasters. Ignore if anyone moans about Covid rules etc, I hope you both have a great time. Good Luck!! |
| Forum Reply | Whereabouts does ‘the north’ become ‘the north?’ at 08:13 23 Apr 2021
One of my best friends comes from Chesterfield , and she considers herself to be Northern, certainly compared to me coming from Ipswich! She definitely has a Northern' accent. So yes I would say Chesterfield upwards is Northern. |
| Forum Reply | How will you be celebrating Prince Phils life today at 07:15 18 Apr 2021
Same here as I got no interest in the Royal family at all. Fair play to those that have, but they are not for me. So I watched soccer special up to final scores just before 3pm, then did some gardening for a couple of hours then watched FA Cup semi final. |
| Forum Reply | People who wear headphones when out walking at 13:20 27 Mar 2021
Good on those cyclists that do actually use the bell, as opposed to many that sneak up behind you when you are running or walking and still expect you to have moved out of their way in plenty of time. |
| Forum Reply | 3 more days of lockdown... at 12:13 27 Mar 2021
Monday, going to visit/walking with a friend who lives 30 miles away, who I not seen this year. Wednesday travelling 20 miles to somewhere different to run. Will be interesting to see how people view the 'stay local' advise. Give it a week or so and I may travel 100 miles to have a day out at the seaside with my partner. I had the vaccine a couple of weeks ago, so more than ready to start leading a normal life again!! |

Horrible despicable big mouthed bully. Good riddance to him. Little wonder he is best mates with his clone, Kevin Peiterson I might start watching GMB again now. |
| Forum Reply | Good news everyone! at 14:24 8 Mar 2021
Its the same when 'expert' weather forecasters predict a cold winter or a hot summer every year. Some seemingly need to be heard to justify their job status, even if they are only stating the obvious. In this case its been the same for so many years now that the NHS struggles to cope throughout winter. due to high flu etc admissions. Obviously covid has made it far worse but hopefully things are looking better in that department, but still expect a high level of pressure on the NHS again next winter as there always is. |
| Forum Reply | Taxi for Bairstow! at 14:18 29 Dec 2019
Bairstow should never have been recalled, Foakes was harshly treated when dropped last year and deserves a place in the team. Hopefully Pope will be fit for next test to replace Bairstow. |

Very sad news. Marie was one of my all time favourite singers. |

Correct decision, although I still hate it in its current state. Baffles me as to why Chillwell didn't get booked for a blatant dive though. |

Clearly on a wind up. No one with a brain would think throwing a bottle at a football match is a good thing. |

Drew 1-1. I think John Wark equalised in the second half. |
| Forum Reply | Mel Morris just won Richard Keogh’s unfair dismissal case for him at 11:42 8 Nov 2019
Very good point. It irrelevant about the other two. Keogh's actions deserved the sack. Plus the other two players actions didn't get them injured and not fit for work for 12 months, where as Keogh's did. If I had a drunken night out and it meant I was off work sick for 12 months, I would expect the sack too. |
| Forum Reply | Bale + 70m for Sterling..? at 19:38 4 Nov 2019
Barely two or three years ago it would have been Bale in exchange for Sterling + £70 million. Just shows how the careers of the two players have changed so much in that time. |
