|This podcast Vs local media claptrap|
at 17:32 13 May 2021
Those odious gobsh1tes at Talking Town are back begging for 'respect' from the local media because a fan on their Monday 'show' suggested most players would be sold before Stuart and Andy broke their story at the EADT.
This is all frankly getting out of hand. Their absolute disdain for professionally trained journalists is a joke. I can't believe someone like Kate Riley - an experienced sports journalist herself - would align with such fans.

Coming in as part of Cook's new backroom staff.
|Why are so many people losing their heads?|

This is a squad that should, in truth, have been ripped apart 24 months ago. However, due to finances and contracts that's clearly not been possible until now. Do some people really believe that this crop of players - many of whom still have scars from the relegation season - could have got us promoted this year?
Cook was unlucky to be appointed just after sh1thousing our way to those three wins. The victory at Accrington was far from convincing either and I'm certain we'd have lost that without their sending-off.
This club's success and culture has been founded upon giving managers time. When the manager describes what many fans have been saying about this crop of players, surely we have to be pleased that he 'gets it'? This is a man that knows what's required to win promotions. They are littered throughout his CV. It's not a Paul Hurst Mk II. This is a manager that was courted by clubs with Premier League aspirations in the Championship last summer.
To suggest his job is in danger because some of the players have taken umbrage of his open and honest views and demanding more of them physically than Lambert, is frankly absurd. Why would we throw the baby out with the bath water when there is a clear recruitment strategy and investment looming large on the horizon? It makes no sense.

Have been reliably informed that he is in discussions re. ITFC CEO vacancy.
Resigned from his role at Celtic to "pursue new opportunities" a week or so ago.

Why is your view on the takeover so conflicting to that of Matt Slater and The Guardian? Are we to assume that Slater and co. are being spoonfed info from the US end and you're getting info from the Town end?
Have to say, I now feel it's a shame that it all got leaked. Would have much preferred waking up one morning to find out that Evans had gone.

Darragh said that he'd spoken to Evans about the sale and tried to get him on his show recently to get across his personality and set the story straight before his departure. Blamed Evans for not being transparent through the years, despite saying he's a "thoroughly nice bloke".

Surely Cowley is the right man for the job? When you talk about structure, data analysis and methodology, Cowley talks so much sense it's unreal. The work he's done thus far, he surely deserves a big job like this and a bit of cash to splash.

Lambert still not fired after meetings... can only mean one thing can't it? Takeover talks are very much on the go.

I've reached new levels of exasperation with my club since last night. The gaslighting and bilge coming out of Stuart Taylor's mouth was frankly two fingers up at all reasonable fans that understand where we're going wrong.
Lambert's disdain of the fans and the local press is frankly embarrassing for our club. We should be one of the manager's number-one priorities, but that's not felt the case at all since the Evans era began.
If Marcus does not swallow his pride and accept the hit to his wallet today or tomorrow, I think my love affair with Ipswich is officially over after 33 years. Not ashamed to say it brings a tear to my eye saying that, but what have we got left if the fans aren't listened to or valued?

Days after people question his absence on TWTD and Twitter. It's almost as if the club are quite literally embarking upon any damage limitation with fans they can right now, isn't it?

Has Evans spoken with senior players throughout the squad? If they are voicing their displeasure to him privately and he's STILL coming out with guff like yesterday, what hope does that give us OR the players?!

My mother-in-law is a senior nurse at a local surgery. She told my wife last night that her surgery - and many others in the region - have been warned to expect considerable side effects from the COVID-19 vaccine. I'm not quite sure what they are, but the surgery was also told as many as 25% of their workforce could be off at once with ill-effects from the vaccine.
No-one in the media seems to have touched upon the side effects? Either way, next year's going to be a logistical nightmare.

Explains the interest in Jonson Clarke-Harris too.
Sell Jackson for £2m and buy Clarke-Harris (£500-600k) and Charlie Wyke (£300k) and pocket the rest. We get a like-for-like replacement who is perhaps even more prolific than Jackson, as well as an additional physical presence up top. Seems like good business to me.
