Although Simms didn’t set the world alight when he came on you can see why we wanted him. Height, power, pace… much of the same attributes Hirst has. If McKenna could mould him into the system as he has with Hirst, that would be ideal. Hirst for 65/70 mins then bring on Simms. Wonder if we pay the up front money cov paid without the add ons, they would take it? |

Isn’t he on trial with championship clubs?
Great player but we don’t need anymore forward players so can’t see it. Coulson, Jacobs, a CB and a CM and I think that’s us done |

Think Preston play with 3 CB’s so can only see this happening if they’ve got a lot of cover. Like someone said, he was on the bench and only just returned from injury so can’t see it being close.
Would be a great signing though |

No. In my opinion. A very solid signing. Was very good under Paul Cook at Wigan and people at Portsmouth were saying he was their best ‘naturally gifted’ footballer when fit.
Can play anywhere anywhere behind the striker which, with a smaller squad, we need players who can cover multiple positions. Imagine it won’t be an expensive deal, just quality cover for our wide players.
I understand it might not be the most eye watering signing but I trust Cook’s judgement. I think Jacobs success will be based on whether he can keep fit all season. Let’s hope he can! |

Wish nothing but the best for Dozzel senior and junior, I really wish we could have given his role to Terry Butcher however instead of kicking him out. I’m so positive with this club with all that’s going on but that’s the one thing that’s left a sour taste in the mouth. |

At first I thought ‘not a chance’. I swear he played a bit under Mick towards the end? However the more I thought about it, surely would have been under Ashton at Bristol City?
Still think it’s very optimistic, but would be buzzing if it happened! |

That doesn’t make sense to me. Turns 27 this season so unlikely to improve to the extent of being a key player for Rangers. Was loaned out to Sunderland last season and along with Edmunson, broke the covid rules and looks like there’s no way back for him.
I don’t see why they wouldn’t sell him if we wanted. |
