Dont send jets to Israel. Don't cave in on the enquiry which you had absolutely sound reasons to reject. |

Aussie journalist being shot from abut 10 yards, in clear view, by riot police whilst doing a piece to camera. Either deliberate or staggeringly incompetent. If thats on camera, imagine what they are doing out of shot. Be afraid... |

Do we stand any chance at all this summer with such a lame attack? Its basically woakes or nothing. Jimmy and Broad both still walk into this side. |

Heard on R4 this morning that it is a big anniversary for the show. They interviewed Felicity Kendall. Ive just googled and watched the first episode. Lovely stuff. Wonderfully written and performed. And Ms Kendall's character. Surely thats what a spouse ought to be? Sigh. |

Can be lightweight and can disappear. But he and Chaplin fit what we try to do so much better. [Post edited 25 May 17:12]

So many foul throws ignored this year. First chance he gets, he gives a marginal one against us. Quelle f***** surprise. |

We have been close and there have been some real "sliding doors" moments (hate that phrase), starting with the awful and arguably dishonest reffing against Leicester at home. However, we have spent a fortune. How many of those we have bought are a clear improvement on what we had before? I am really not convinced, other than Delap, that we would have been worse off with Burgess instead of Greaves, Wolf instead of O'Shea, Broadhead instead of Clarke, Hladky or Walton over either keeper. Pi ss poor tbh. |

I am really not clear why people are so excited by Oshea or Greaves. We have been consistently not good enough at the back all season. We try to play out but teams are quite happy letting those two have the ball. We just end up largely sideways, or taking big risks. A proper ball playing CB is important to play this way. |

I use it with FBPurity from my pc which is usually fine. Sorts it into actual date order and cuts out all the rubbish. Highly recommended. Very occasionally i have cause to use fb from my phone on a browser. The utter shyte that is being channelled into peoples brains is terrifying. 3/4 of the posts are suggested or promoted. Amongst those there are some bad jokes and flaky inspirationsl quotes. However, there is also a huge volume of conspiracy nonsense, conservative christianity, blatant misdirection and dog whistling. Numerous posts tofay saying "hands up if youve realise you cant trust legacy media" a trumpist phrase designed to suppress the free press. People are being heavily manipulated daily. No wonder they vote for lunatics. We are in serious trouble. Social media has waaaay too much power |

THIS is what is wrong with British politics and media. It clearly WAS a dog whistle comment by the Reform fellow. She now has to apologise for saying it, because saying it is claimed to be minimising the issue. Which it plainly wasnt. It is possible for a person to be appalled by the grooming gangs issue, taking it seriously, and also pointing out that Reform use it as a dog whistle. But even labour are being apologetic for it, because of the atmosphere and twisted logic we are working with. |
