Murphy Interesting Hull
at 15:55:34

Can we send them Taylor with a Murphy mask on? Think it would be a mistake to sell Murphy given our league position if we have any ambition of a top 2 or 6 position, if anything we need another Murphy type player as cover in case he gets injured or loses form.

Sharp Set to Stay at Leeds

Of those named I would love it if we signed Lingard, an attacking midfielder with an eye for goal. Happy with our strike force and defence (although I wish he would play at RB)

How Do You Think Ipswich Should Go Forward? (Mk II)
at 16:54:39

Good blog, I agree we need a more creative/sparky midfielder, whilst Williams did look good when on loan, he was a little light weight and subject to injury. I would try and get Jesse Lindegard from MU on loan.
Rickw, I like your team but would replace Tabb with Bru as whilst he does not work as hard and provides a bit more composure on the ball.

McCarthy Hoping to Make Deadline Day Addition
at 16:29:30

Not posted for a whilst but not sure what all the fuss is about, Green is a direct replacement for Tunnicliff and I am quite happy with this, and whilst people on here whinge about a lack of creativity in the side we are 7th in the league and are one of the highest scoring teams in the division.
Yes, we would all like to be able to attract high quality players here but Mick knows what he is doing and Evans is trying balance the books, looking at Portsmouth and many others I have no problem with this approach. We clearly needed a RB, we now have one, young players on loan are developing, and when they don't get games Mick sorts it out.
Given where we have come from over the last few years I think the future is looking good. Onwards and upwards

Mick doesn't normally say anything until a deal is done, either in or out, he lets the journalists and fans speculate.

Veseli Deal Confirmed

Pleased with this signing, would also like a bit of experience in the back 4, assuming we sign Doherty then I think another CB and a replacement for Chopra and we are just about done.

Martin Misses Burnley Clash
at 11:09:48

Paz, Smith at LB, really? Would rather Wight be given a first team game as that is his natural position. Not sure JET behind the striker would work either as we need to play a 4-4-2 so I would play Scotland or Murray up with Cambell. I have not seen Chambers play RB but he did play there for Forest so worth a go, would probably give Carson a place instead of Cresswell at the moment.

Is The Town Job a Poisoned Chalice?
at 16:59:49

Interesting that many bloggers say they are in the 20% who didn't want MM but then don't offer up alternatives. Personally I think it's an excellent appointment as MM has succeeded pretty much wherever he has gone, and if he could take us from where we are now to a club pushing for promotion (even if we then become a yoyo club like Wolves) that would definately be progress.
ME has a track record of supporting his managers with signings should they be required as he did with RK and PJ and it is down to those Managers to get the players playing for them both of which they failed to manage.
In terms of the structure we are no different from Chelsea and they don't seem to do too badly, although at least RA doesn't keep to the shadows like ME.
Good blog though

Clegg: Harry Speculation Laughable
at 16:48:48

ME owns the club and has clearly decided to stop funding additional players. I appreciate that PJ is the manager but clearly with the financial restrictions he and Clegg are working under it has not been possible to bring in the players he feels we need. Saturday apart the team has been playing ok but has not been able to score despite creating many chances, which always gives the oposition a chance.
Will probably get ridiculed by I think we will turn it round. It could be worse, look at Peterborough.

Would be an excellent signing, look at Terry and Ferdinand both playing well into their 30's at a much higher level. We must have freed up a fair few quid in wages getting rid of Bullard and Delaney so lets get this one done.

Jewell: Everything That Could Have Gone Wrong in the Transfer Market Has
at 11:45:43

Charsfield, I agree last year we signed loads of players and most were poor short term signings (Cresswell and JET aside) this year we have signed four players all who i believe will take the club forward The first team squad actually looks pretty good but we don't have the strength in depth and clearly PJ is constrained by the lack of cash available. For all those who blame PJ thats your choice but I think we are moving forwards and this team will finish higher than it did in the last two seasons. COYB
