I liked hurst and thought he was the right type of manager for this club. Sadly were sinking.like a brick in water and am pleased we are making a change
This 4 2 3 1 formation relys on your full backs getting forward.. While knudson does get forward somtimes i worry about pennington at right back as i understood he is a center half. Donacian instead of pennington would appear to make more sense to me
So morris wolfy and josh all out on loan. PH clearly thinks there not ready for champioship footy yet.. Hope for his sack things dont continue to go south .He could have alot of egg on face come january
I have mixed feeling on this. While i would agree both edun and chalobah have done well since there arrival it does frustrate me a little that by playing them were developing players for other clubs while our own young player dozzell nydam etc are missing out. So while i think tristan need first team football i do feel it should be with us.
Interesting skysports transfer center says kaydon jackson is close to joining town as part of the vydra to leed move which has collasped. Could this be a double signing from Accrinton i wonder. jackson and this defender mentioned above
PH is definaltly the kind of manager i was hoping for once we knew MM was leaving. Ticks all the right boxes for me. Not garenteed sucsess mind due and not going to be easy as the clubs budget was never going to change. But PH is clearly somone who is hungry and on the up. And from what i can gather likes his teams to play on the front foot and likes to develop players. On paper a least a good fit for ITFC right now.
Given our budget. These are the types of player i would be looking to bring in. Not cut it for a prem side . but clearly talented and someone we could sell on for a profit should they do the stuff for us for a season or three
Probably just press talk. Could be great. Could be a complete flop. Prefer that somone else gives him his first job.. League 2 side or somthing than with us right now
6 changes. A change in formation and an improptue on pitch meeting. All signs of a manager who knows he is fighting for his job... Crowds are down and campaign to remove him.. Think MM days are numbered... Oh forgot to mention the F off to fan caught on live TV . i like MM as a person but he taken this club as far as he can.. Time to go.
Two wins to clean sheets... i am scared.. maybe this season is not going to be as bad as i feared.. thou like Mr corbyn at the election we are starting from a very low base in terms of expectations
Isnt this what Charlton did a few years ago when they disposed of chris powell . Got a young manager from abroad . Look where they are now. Not a big fan of MM as this season has been a disaster but be careful what you wish for.
For two and a bit seasons MM did a great job. last season and this we have gone backwards. My fear is we will continue to go backwards and do a Coventry. However when you think about the managers who are available and the kind of manager you would want in a dog fight MM actually fits the bill. With the budget MM has been given since he joined the club who anyone else have done a better job. granted we may have played more entertaining football. ME commitment to developing youth is a long haul project if we do change our manager it has to be a hands on coach who likes to bring on the youngsters .
As a bloke i like MM. And for 2 and a bit seasons he was great for this club. Sadly since out play off semi final defeat against narrwich things have gone backwards. Personally i like the idea of him stepping down at the end of the season with his head held high rarther than a sacking. I think we owe him that at least for the 2 and a bit seasons where he achieived more than was expected.
Gotta love the up's and downs of the championship. Simple fact is if your not quite at it you get turned over. Happened on sat at QPR and no will happen again before the end of the season. Like many while i don't enjoy our style of football at times its quite effective and we are doing much better than we did under keane and jewell. Progress is slow but there is progress in my opinion.
Funny how just over a week ago MM was saying he had no plans to bring somone in . yet here it says this move has been on the cards for a while. Gotta take everything MM says with a pinch of salt. He clearly has a plan for this transfer window but he ain't telling.
I would like to ask those people on here who would like to see MM leave/replaced . Who would they like ? And actually do they have a better record than MM for getting teams promoted out of this division. The grass often looks greener on the other side of the fence but i am struggling to find a replacement who could take us forward
