Incredibly harsh criticism from Mick Mills on BBC Suffolk
at 09:28 30 Dec 2023

I find Mills to be an excellent pundit, with real insight. Strange how he attracts criticism on here.

...and while you are at it @ibbleobble, you could also acquaint yourself with the route of the M25, a motorway which you travel 'round', but never 'down'.
Love from another Guardian reader.

The exact and precise moment when Kieron begins to feel the heat is when Ashton starts being questioned by the owners.
When will that be? Round about now. Ashton will move into self preservation mode as sure as night follows day. That's when the cracks will begin to appear.
Notice how Ashton is around when the wins are flowing, but absent when his support is needed most.

Very, very true. I think the turning point coincided with Mick Mills waxing lyrical and describing him in glowing terms in comparison to the great Paul Mariner. We do have short memories...

We were such a classy club

Sven Goran-Ericksson was also welcomed into the club to observe training sessions. Brian Owen looked after him and on occassions took him into his family home at Capel.

True class as you say.

Great guy, and a great Manager. Some people talk a lot when they are nervous and/or when they are talking about something they love.

Stupid, stupid, stupid. An awful lot of referees will be watching the game snd will now be talking about Morsy amonst others, and not in a helpful way.

When it clicks for him it will REALLY click, and he will walk off the pitch with an Alan Brazil matching five goals.

Who is co-commentator Dean Edwards?

I watched on Sky then switched to BBC Suffolk. Who was the miserablist? Bad result vs Pompey and then 'back to the drawing board?'

Nothing to do with party politics. It's to do with right and wrong.

...and because I have ab thing about beautiful symmetry, I am bound to point out that was also around the time that the football geniuses running our club gave away Conor Hourihane, against the advice of many good judges.

Really good interview with Macauley Bonne from Stuart Watson
at 18:39 5 Jul 2022

I have seen Macca's career almost back to when he had a short spell at Stow Falcons. That's a long time! One thing I can promise you is that he is a natural finisher, right foot, left foot, head. It makes little difference.
McK may not have seen it first hand, but there enough people around him who will be in the know.

Freddie is a great finisher. One of the best around. No way will he ever be a lone striker. Make of it what you will. It suggests to me that we will shortly sign a great partner for him. Happy days.

Nearer the mark than you realise :)
He will be working for Thrive Tribe, the same organisation as the former Colchester Media Manager.
I though he did quite well in an impossible job at PR.

Well, this self-appointed football expert things that if Celina is playing to his very best in the hope of getting a long contract because he wants to commit his future to Town, then there is only one direction he will go from here. And it ain't up.

For literally no reason

His agent is fairly hugger-mugger with Ashton, and that some sway.
The bonuses are not just results-driven, but also tied to attendances and, of course, the biggest is for promotion and positioing in Championship, with regulat review dates in case KK excels or struggles.

Welcome to Ipswich Ratfink.
at 06:11 21 Dec 2021

As he enters Egoland, I think Ratfink will need plenty of luck along the way.
His issue will be that fans' and commentators' distaste for Ashton will be directed through him.
So good luck, I do hope he values the importance of good solid characters like Johnnie Mac and Rene.
