can't believe that people are still going on about burley/butcher they haven't been interviewed nor appear to be in the running! Although I have not seen Shrewsbury play before today I think it is harsh to judge on one game. If people were to judge Villa after their play off final they would have said they were poor however they had beaten Ipswich 4-0 away only a couple of weeks earlier, we can't judge from one game and the fact shrewsbury finished third with 87 points shows that they clearly are not a bad side! can't believe all the comments on here, people forget what state Ipswich were in when Mcarthy came here. I wish that he could have had a better send off from the fans as I certainly appreciate what he has done for Ipswich. I personally think McCarthy has done a great job at Ipswich, people forget when he joined we were bottom of the championship and seemed certain to drop in to league 1, he has saved Ipswich even if it has been with uninspiring football. However I do agree that we have stagnated over the last few seasons and a new manager could improve things with some exciting mix of youth and knowledge.In my opinion I would like either Warburton or Grayson, both have managed with low budgets and pay exciting attacking football and try to bring through youth. |

Im overall happy with the signing this transfer window but am very frustrated that yet again we have gone on the cheap. Williams and Lawrence are great but they are only loans. Best is just a squad player. We have received over 10million in the last three seasons but have not spent over a million on any single player. If sears and pitman are injured we have no backup and with games becoming more physically challenging we just don't have sufficient QUALITY back up and for that Evans has failed in January it could be too late and the damage may already be done. |
