Surely he is starting to push for a starting place in the league games and if so who would he replace?

Anyone who reckons ME is the saviour of Ipswich Town should at least be able to explain ITFC nearly £100,000,000 of debt (bearing in mind ITFC is only a league one outfit)!

I am guessing that, with Ipswich Town starting to look in better shape, top of league one and a decent normal manager (We have been craving one for years). A squad which is looking better balanced (lacking a decent LB on the books) and the support seems to be really great at the moment, ME will probably sell the club. I am not having a pop at Evans but his decisions through the years have not been great and to finish his reign off he will sell a football club that is starting to look healthy-ish (not including ME's dodgy debt)…….

Norwood with a bit more composure and sharpness with his finishing, is going to be a top Striker at this level. I personally think he will get better at Ipswich and even terrorise the Championship. What a good signing and its definitely only going to get better.

Have now got cover, my question is.....
Who is the better RB, Josh or Janoi? I have not seen Josh play for a while and the little I did see of Donacien (only see him play LB) I was not impressed!

I think the squad depth is looking ok (considering the league we are in now), I thought Huws would have been a key player for us last year in the Championship, I am now thinking the same again this year (another serious injury could probably end his career). Roberts will surprise a few this year and I really think he will be useful for Ipswich in league one (I really did write that ). Sears coming back from injury could be the icing on the cake for a team pushing for promotion. The only thing that is really worrying me is a decent CB (I have never been a fan of Chambers) a decent CB added to what we already have really could boost our promotion chances. Last year scoring goals (or a lack of) was a serious problem but again our midfield and the addition of Norwood could be the answer and I see no reason why Ipswich will not bounce straight back into the Championship even as Champions.

I hope Chambers and Skuse are gone next season, they are and have always been cr%p!
|PL is the right man for this club!|

I agree with other posters this afternoon! What you are currently witnessing at Ipswich Town is a club that has been run poorly (including the under funding) by an administration with no plan for the future other than making a 'quick buck' (constant selling off of any quality players). What a poor decision to jump at the chance of selling off proven players and replacing them with league one players at best (especially this season). Paul Hurst got it wrong and MM just got away with it (I am still confused how) but MM did have some better players, importantly players who new how to score. It looks like PL is emotionally involved now and I really do think he is the right man for this job! He has not had time to correct previous mistakes and has added some players to try and turn this dire team around (still not over yet but I am now realistically starting to accept ITFC fate). The big question for me is, will Evans now finally back a football manager at this club long term (not creating problems for the future then panic with loans and try to repair the self inflicted damage)? I just get the feeling that PL could rebuild the team with what he has got and some decent signings in the summer. I f,,,,,,,g hate Norwich and I look forward to the day a rebuilt new Ipswich will batter the canary inbred yellow c...s.

I did not go to Blackburn and have been limited to what I have seen of PL's Ipswich team but what I have seen is showing signs of improvement! Considering the mess PL inherited and the limited funds he has at his disposal (same as most Ipswich managers), I/we cannot expect wins every week from now on. Ipswich are still dogged by the same players since MM's days (and maybe this problem will cost us Championship survival) and until the day this is PL's squad then perhaps a fair judgement can be made. So far so good with his signings, plain but competent (stability!) and if we can continue on this path things will eventually get better on the pitch. Off the pitch, ME has done what he can and the assurance of PL staying at Ipswich even if we get relegated is good news! Its a shame things have got so bad (been going downhill for years) but finally a manager who talks sense and will not bow down and let this club be totally destroyed! Maybe at last a light at the end of a very dark tunnel.

Even before the game tomorrow (PL signings need time to gel may I mention) Paul Lambert is a manager that knows what he is doing! Its a shame it was not PL replacing MM...

No one should have to tolerate such a credible beautiful club like Ipswich being run so poorly, Ipswich fans demand more respect and the likes of Clegg ME and co hopefully can be held to account!
