Warnock on Town Links
Seriously, this is how low we've fallen? The most anti-football anti-referee blame everyone else but me individual British football has produced in the last 30 years. No rut or drop in form calls for this mercenary to be anywhere near our club.
Milton: I Knew He Wasn't Right, Straight Away I Rang the PFA
Truly inspiring. We've always prided ourselves on being a family club and that clearly includes the players. I may be biased but I honestly don't think this would have happened at any other club. Well done, Milts, for looking out for your pal and Doz, whatever it takes we are with you all the way.
All Seven Out-of-Contract Senior Players Released
To echo some of the previous comments, the only one I would have taken a chance on would've been Ward, the rest can go whistle. However, the article suggests that they had an option for him and maybe he demanded too much. In which case more fool him.
Lambert: We Never Deserved to Take Anything From the Game
But who goat_man? It's all very well play 2 up front but who would drop out? Our only decent play came from the midfield but there was no end product. Quanner was insignificant, Jackson even more so when he came on, Harrison just doesn't cut it. Let's face it, we haven't had a forward who looks like scoring since Freddie got injured.
Middlesbrough 2-0 Ipswich Town - Match Report
Anyone else notice goal scorers elsewhere today? Garner (2), McGoldrick, Webster all here last year, then add Marriott to the list as well. Dark days indeed.
Ipswich Town 1-1 Brentford - Match Report
smurfsareblue - Agree with most of what you said. I personally think Spence is being made a scapegoat for a truely awful team performance in the first half. Donacien showed he is just as capable as wandering out of position on the left as he does on the right. However, I can't agree with your thinking that Harrison is better than Jackson. His first touch was awful and didn't threaten the goal once. Ward was completely lost as a pseudo no.10 but what a transformation when he went back out wide in the second half. And apart from the cross for the goal, Chalobah was also very poor.
Also for those who are berating the comments in praise of 'getting a draw against Brentford', firstly that is totally disrespectful to a team who have improved year upon year in the Championship and are near the top totally on merit. They should have been out of sight by half time so we should take the positives. Secondly, we are also where we are in the table 'on merit'. We have started poorly, no question, and I don't like being bottom, but we are still in September for goodness sake and I know we can improve.
Winger Graham Rejoins Town on Loan
New blood and fresh legs are always welcome but considering Hurst himself said his priorities were a centre half and a striker, this seems a curious choice. Mind you, we still have until the end of the week but it does suggest he is struggling to get his first choices in.
Bolton Linked With Garner Move
Surely we are missing the point here. As TrueBlue1878 suggests, he is unsettled in Suffolk. He's from the North West and he wants to return. We all know if a player's heart is not in the club, we move him on. All this talk of prices and assets disregards the fact that players are human beings just like us. Let him go and bring someone in who wants to be here.
