Poker
at 20:50 25 Mar 2020

Evening twtders, me and a few mates attempting to have a few games of poker on Saturday night from the isolation of our respective abodes.

Anyone point me in the direction of an app or platform that facilitates this?

Cheers

Good to see Simeone and Klopp bumping elbows rather than shaking hands at the end to avoid spreading the virus, whilst thousands of potential vivid carriers head into the scouse evening to celebrate.

Self isolating

I am being asked, a lot, what people should do if they need to self isolate, but live with those classified as vulnerable.

I can’t find this advice. Anyone done any better?

Coronavirus: uefa nations league draw edition
at 18:47 3 Mar 2020

Didn’t even know this was happening today.

Anyway, the jocks, decided not to send head-jock Steve Clarke (didn’t even know he was their manager) to the Dam, on the basis that the “national coach attending was an unnecessary risk”.

The Scottish FA could self-isolate the entire population for the next twenty years and the rest of the world wouldn’t notice.

Coronavirus conundrum
at 23:09 28 Feb 2020

The EPL is called null and void for 19/20 on the back of a global pandemic.

Everyone starts again in august.

On the plus side, Liverpool haven’t won the league in 30 years. On the negative, Norwich get another go with the snout in the trough.

What do we think? I’m willing to accept this scenario.

Apologies for a PL thread as we are having another bad day at the office
at 17:19 22 Feb 2020

Listening to the radio on the train. The Burnley Bournemouth game today went as follows with some intervention from VAR:

0-1
0-0
1-0
1-1
1-0
2-0
3-0

I know a lot of people don’t like VAR, but what a cracking afternoon out for the Burnley fans.

Finally on the train, with beer and the fck buttons.

The attacks at the mosque and in germany

And indeed any other hate motivated attack of recent times.

Terrible situations. And likely to be repeated many more times over.

How do we replace hate with hope when so many people advocate the former, and indeed trade on it politically. I suspect this model of attack is now with us for a very long time. You see it normalised even in the context of the response of the twtd messageboard, in which it is barely noticed.

The new normal.

Most people enjoyed their title win. They’re not doing it again, but they are third with a double figure cushion on a champions league place.

Great to see a club (past misdemeanours aside) take an alternative route to the higher echelons.

I’m with coastal blue’s thread, the pl is sh1t, never watch motd these days, but good to have a smaller size club doing the business.
