Twenty Years Ago Today: Stewart Hits Double as Blues Draw at Bolton
at 15:51:52

Probably the worst decision Huddersfield have ever made, not just letting him go, but to their promotion rivals. Not that I mind! We went up, they didn't, and we thrived in the Premiership (at least in that first season, before he got injured). The man was class.

EFL Still Aiming to Resume 2019/20 Season "at an Appropriate Point"
at 18:07:13

I'n not saying it's anything short of disastrous that we're probably not going up. Of course it is. But it would be very strange not celebrating it in the normal way with big crowds etc. Just hoping we don't blow it again next season and are able to celebrate it properly.

EFL Aiming to Resume Season Behind Closed Doors in June

Interesting about the play-off finals. Would be weird to still play them in a cavernous Wembley! (Not that we're likely to be involved of course).

Earl: There's No Reason Why We Can't Go and Win This League
at 16:20:40

Who knows? 8 points to the top is a heck of a stretch, but 5 points less so. 9 of our last 14 games are at home which doesn't say a lot considering our home form, but most of those are very winnable, the only really 'big' sides being Coventry and Portsmouth (albeit we have to break 'that' record sometime). All to play for I say. Still wouldn't rule out automatic, has still got to be our aim. My hunch is still 6th, which is what I predicted at the start of the season. Who knows after that? Gonna be a lottery.

Town Make Return to Lincoln Aiming to Finally End FA Cup Woe
at 14:57:38

Hate having to post this, but really can't see anything other than a defeat tonight. FA Cup failure has happened over such a long time now that it's almost ingrained, in our blood, in our DNA, however you want to put it. We're just not interested at the end of the day. I find that a big shame.

Town Draw Lincoln at Home in FA Cup
at 14:57:23

Would be nice to have a cup run at long last. I know promotion is the priority, but success begets success. How many fans don't want a cup run to provide that bit of extra excitement? I'd like to see us get to the third, then get a Premiership team at home. If it's not one of the 'big six', we could see how much we've improved recently by perhaps not winning, but giving someone a good run for their money, giving us confidence and a good yardstick by which to measure our progress.

Call me a pedant, but it was actually 5-3 against Bolton, not 4-3!

Ipswich Town 0-0 Doncaster Rovers - Match Report
at 18:37:13

Disappointing, but suspected we'd get held today. Good team, in the play-offs last season and unbeaten this. Never mind, still unbeaten and second in the league. Would definitely have settled for this at the beginning of the season.

Ipswich Town 2-1 AFC Wimbledon - Match Report

Don't do that, Ipswich. Just ...don't...do ...that. Do they like to make us suffer? Proof, if ever it were needed, that we can't take ANYONE, ANYONE, for granted. 42 cup finals to go.

Town at Burton on Opening Day, Sunderland First Visitors to Portman Road

Tough first two matches, if ever there was a reminder this League ain't gonna be a cakewalk. Six points would be a brilliant start and would lay down a marker, but four points would still be a very decent return.

Blues Playing for Pride as Blades Hope to Confirm Promotion
at 14:35:10

Sheff will be anxious about this game because the stakes are so high. We'll be more relaxed as we've only got pride to play for. Means we just might get something out of the game. Doubt it, will likely lose, but because of the dynamics I think it will be by just the one goal or possibly two, rather than the total hammering everyone seems to be predicting.
