| News Comment | Town Appoint New Head of Analysis at 12:52:02
I remember fondly our "analysis", playing in Division 11, Sunday morning league... Question One: Have we got eleven players? Question Two: Are there at least some without hangovers? Question Three: Shall we kick uphill or downhill in the first half? |
| News Comment | Manchester City 4-1 Ipswich Town - Match Report at 18:34:49
We need to give Muric a break. Someone will correct me if I'm wrong, I'm sure, but I seem to remember that Walton let in five on his debut? Bolton at home? He went on to do ok... |
| News Comment | PA Man Murphy Steps Down at 17:32:49
I think Mark did superbly well, following the pitch invasion at the end of the season. It could have been a difficult, or at least a disappointing, response had he been asked to be more forceful in requests for fans to clear the pitch. In fact, I think praise is due to Mark, the stewards and stadium supervisors and the police for the way things were handled post-match. It ensured a wild, spontaneous but completely safe and good-natured celebration. Other clubs could well look and learn.... Congratulations in your retirement Mark. |
| News Comment | Three Clubs Agree Philogene Terms With Hull - Report at 15:28:08
I dont think the "London" connection will be a factor in persuading him to go to Palace. First, by car or train we are not much more than an hour from London, second ALL professional footballers know that they might have to move several times and all around the country (and possibly Europe and beyond) , in their (relatively) short careers. Third, wherever he lives, just getting across London can take hours. Fourth, we've got McKenna and first-team football on the table. What's not to like? |

Sorry but they're not doing it for me... they just look a bit, well, "ordinary". |
| News Comment | Chelsea Look Away From McKenna at 17:22:29
Kieran McKenna, classy as ever, has said absolutely nothing about all this media-driven nonsense. It would be so much better if we all did the same. As it stands, no-one has offered anything to anyone for anything... |
| News Comment | McKenna Speculation Continues at 23:55:16
Please remember that the primary function of betting companies, assisted by the media, is to generate this sort of speculation - to encourage betting and, hence, to generate income. Both we, and TWTD, would be better off maintaining complete media silence until anything is confirmed. |
| News Comment | McKenna Bookies' Favourite For Brighton Job at 10:35:13
McKenna and Ashton are under no obligation to respond to bookies or newspaper hacks. And we can all play our part by not responding to these stories either. As with signings at the club, over the years, ignore the hype. When something is going to happen, the club will announce it. Enjoy the summer! |
| News Comment | Huge Crowds Line Streets to Celebrate Promotion at 23:12:44
Great to see Ipswich Borough Council really showing their true support for us all by crawling all over the town slapping parking tickets on anything they possibly could. A wonderful way to round off the weekend's celebrations. |
| News Comment | McKenna: We're Going to Assess One or Two in the Morning at 17:39:25
Omari definitely more effective cutting in from wide, rather than playing more centrally, I think. May be him and Burns will get a half each. I'm feeling good about our chances. So excited for tomorrow. |
| News Comment | Season Tickets Sell Out at 22:39:49
The only thing that's taking the edge of my enjoyment of this amazing season is this 'real fans' v 'glory hunters' stuff. Please! Being a spectator is not a competition sport, the football is! For the record, my first season was 1967-68. And I had a season ticket until my dad was too frail to manage the steps in the Cobbold anymore, three years ago. Can we alk just enjoy the football? |
| News Comment | Duo in Team of the Week at 16:17:43
Congratulations to both players. Fortunately the club is still largely ignored by mainstream/sports media, which I would imagine is just as KM would want it to be. Perhaps they'll realise we're not a "flash in the pan" as we lift the Championship trophy on the final day of the season! |
