| News Comment | Simpson Huddersfield Deal Closer at 14:31:30
caught up with a friend of mine who's son plays at swindon with him. saw every game obviously. Not good enough was the conclusion . We need championship players if thats where we are going , not ones barely good enough for league 2 . Move on !!!! |
| News Comment | Keeper Picked Pompey Ahead of Town at 10:11:04
Didn't think he was that brilliant at Rochdale last year . Rochdale hardly challenged for promotion . Was he told then that Rochdale are like Man City ? . Big time Charlie by the sounds of it because like many others he has a Man City badge on his training kit . I'm sure Hladky is the better option . |
| News Comment | Blues Targeting Salford Keeper at 19:24:52
WOW.Really good keeper and would be good move for us .anyone who has seen the salford fc documentary on sky ( latest one ) will have seen how much Gary Neville rated him and how good he was at the beginning of the season for them when he arrived .( well worth a watch ) . Last saw him in the EFL trophy final at wembly against Portsmouth where again he was outstanding ,keeping a clean sheet and helping win the trophy on penalties |
| News Comment | Scunthorpe Winger Linked Again at 22:05:20
Watched him a fair bit at Shrewsbury under Hurst ( godson was playing for STFC) . Nowhere neat good enough if we are to go forward . Move on |
| News Comment | Donacien Set to Join Fleetwood at 15:19:32
If Wigan were interested couldn't we have done a deal to bring highly rated Wigan left back Tom Pierce to us as part of the deal.? Boy , we are seriously sh!t at dealing /recruitment. I would love to buy a car off this lot ..... they are hopeless at it |
| News Comment | Town Linked With Tyke Thomas at 18:56:12
Don't need wingers if PL is not playing 4-4-2. Width in a 4-3-3 has to come from energetic full backs . Watch Liverpool Paul to find out how it is done . The wide men are Robertson and Trent Arnold . Not sure our 35 year old full backs will be fit enough to fill that role . KVY can if fit but perhaps PL should be looking there if he is to stick with 4-3-3 |
| News Comment | Evans: Town Knew They Had a Battering, the Best Side Lost at 10:31:59
Hahahha. This guy has robbed aliving . Never managed to progress up the managerial ladder for reason . He really is a clown who has robbed a lining . How on earth does he get jobs . I know a player who played under him at Rotherham and he said he was hopeless. We weren't brilliant like PL normally comes out post match with but just look at the stats from last night's game I feel he might be trying to convince his Chairman more than anyone else |
| News Comment | Lambert: Really Happy With How We Played, Errors Due to Rustiness at 20:50:10
Ndaba has looked well in the time he has been given , comfortable on the ball and on the left side . Experience will come with playing only . Surely he and woolfie should start or at least be given the chance to start . Can anyone truly say they would be worse ( especially in a system where we are playing it from the back ) than Chambers and another ? |
| News Comment | League One Decision Set for Further Delay at 23:23:16
Premier league want relegation and completion of season for financial reasons obviously( sky money etc) .That follows there has to be promotion / relagation from championship and that passes down to our league . It is a fiddle by EFL to get teams to compete for this somehow and I have heard ( from someone involved in a team in the top 6) a week ago that a play off will occur , held at MK dons with one legged matches to provide a third team . This seems to have been arranged BEFORE any vote. We have had a bang average season and don't get me wrong probably wouldn't have had a chance to be in the play offs but with the bottom teams to play it was POSSIBLE. Conversely Rotherham had all the top 7 teams to play and could anyone say they would not fall away from the top two ? The seaso has been a farce in many ways and it may as well end in one ! |
| News Comment | Warnock Linked Again But No Contact With Town at 16:29:23
How can Fleetwood ,Coventry ( no ground ) Wycombe , Oxford, Peterborough be where they are in the league? Is it because they have better owners who plough millions into the club ? No they don't !!! Idon't see how Evans is fully at fault . He doesn't go out and buy /loan the players . he may well say he can afford ( or not) them but all the other clubs just mentioned ( and many more in Div 1) manage to find players for not much money or wages relatively . The management team /recruitment and the players are to blame for most of this mess . Where did Dembele at peterborough come from for example ?......... Grimsby for peanuts . You DON'T have to spend millions if your are ggod at your job |
| News Comment | Ipswich Town 0-1 Fleetwood Town - Match Report at 14:31:56
Not too sure why Evans out is appropriate . We have a bigger budget than most clubs in this division and the league position and performances aren't down to him . He doesn't pick the players . He may not spend millions on players but nor do Fleetwood ,Coventry ,Wycombe etc.ect. and they are doing better than us . Why ? i guess it can only be down to the players ,the management team and recruitment |
| News Comment | Accrington Stanley 1-0 Ipswich Town - Match Report at 19:15:20
Been to the game today . Plosives were teddy bishop in the second half and Elder is definitely miles better than Knudsen . Spence continues to be poor . I have done some work up at Everton academy and know that Pennington is believed to have more potential at right back . The solution is there . If it proves not to be the solution to that position it cannot be any worse . Why not try . Why not try a different set up . I know PL keeps saying the results will come but there is not much sign of them coming soon as it is . Hopefully next weeks midfield might involve skuse / bishop and huws . Or am I wishful thinking |
| News Comment | Blues Linked With Canary Marshall at 23:48:01
My son was at crewe academy when he came there from Man U and he always had a great dead ball delivery . Boy could we do with that at the moment . Was awful again yesterday in that department. Worry every time we get a corner ......in case we concede from it |
| News Comment | Hurst: No Regrets on Summer Transfer Policy at 07:41:54
Went to see Josh Emmanuel play for Shrewsbury against Barnsley last night . He is better than Donacien and indeed Pennington playing as a right back . .£750,000 wasted there on JD as he is no better . But PH wants to do it his way and use his players . It hasn't worked Mr Hurst . Your recruitment is poor , just look at the evidence . It is plain to see. |
| News Comment | Ipswich Town 0-0 Bolton Wanderers - Match Report at 18:48:04
I doubt , after spending such a long time to appoint the ‘right'man, Evans will be happy to change so early as this would acknowledge a mistake but get Warburton in as soon as possible ( before he is appointed elsewhere ) |
| News Comment | Shrewsbury Reveal Bids for Nolan and Nsiala at 17:08:46
Agree with Alexeasty99 that Nolan is a very good footballer but Tilt would seem a better player than Nsiala. If Donencian is coming as a potential right back then surely we need Tilt aswell |
| News Comment | Boro New Favourites for Waghorn at 12:38:44
TractorBoyTommy is not a tractor boy and by his endless posts proves to us all he knows nought about football. PH may well go on to be unsuccessful , personally I don't think he will but by god, there is no way he can be worse than MM. Funny how MM hasn't got a job or even really been mentioned in connection with one. Obviously not quite as good as he continually told us he was. Let's drop MM and move on with something different with PH. |
