TWTD Questionnaire 2021/22

Q59 How would you rate the first year of Gamechanger 20's ownership?

The vast majority are firmly behind the new owners' endeavours during their first full season. There was investment in the squad, of which more is promised in the summer, and work has begun on the long-term plans of revamping both Portman Road and Playford Road.

But above all else, the new owners have given fans hope after the frustrations of most of the Marcus Evans era. The prospect of success which has eluded the club for so long - with promotion out of League One just the first step - once again seems a more realistic prospect.

Previous Question:Q58 How would you rate chairman Mike O'Leary's performance during 2021/22?

Massively behind the new regime, and most importantly the new manager they have put in place.

But Evans is perfectly entitled to observe that it's not as easy as it looks, and that he got us to the Championship playoffs, whereas the first season of Gamechanger got us to 11th in League One. I don't think casting the new regime as the angels and Evans as the devil is helpful. Having said that, if KMac brings us the kind of success that he had hinted he's more than capable of, then I think we'll all be very happy to forget about Evans entirely...

I think the new owners have shown that they understand football, which is a bit rare for Americans!
