TWTD Questionnaire 2022/23 Q7 Young player of the 2022/23 season?
A comprehensive victory for Cameron Humphreys, who really made his breakthrough into senior football during 2022/23 having made his first steps the previous year.
Last summer's winner was Elkan Baggott, who didn't qualify for inclusion this summer as he spent his season on loan at Gillingham and Cheltenham rather than with the Blues. Will be interesting to see whether the Indonesia international and Humphreys are sent out on loan in 2023/24.
Harry Clarke picks up 25.6 per cent of the vote but probably loses out to Humphreys as he's already viewed as more of a senior player and was brought in from Arsenal rather than having progressed all the way through the academy.
Elsewhere, the rest of those listed picked up handfuls of votes with Edwin Agbaje, the club's Academy Player of the Year, and Matt Ward the only ones likely to be at the club next year and in with a shout of pushing on and topping this category in 2024.
