The Match - 10
Incredible match; all eleven were class. I was tempted to give them all a ten, but decided to do it properly and just reserve that for the match. Hladky was commanding and made a good save, Donacien got forward and defended well. Both centre-backs defended solidly but had little to do. Penney was constantly assaulted but was always involved in attacks. Evans scored the first hattrick for five years, while Morsy totally dominated the midfield. Every time Burns got the ball, we looked like we might score. Celina was a little shaky at first but got two great assists. Fraser was always threatening and linked up well with those around him. Bonne scored two, including an absolute cracker. The subs had little impact but Harper and Aluko both had good moments. I loved every minute of that match, thank you, Ipswich Town!

Motivated from the last match. The one two combination from B&B worked again to set us on the road. There were no signs we were going to demolish Doncaster. Morsey making a league debut was brilliant defending and moving forward. One of the best debut for a very long time. WhenEvans got the second goal, it settled our nerves for the first time this season. Second half the game changed with Doncaster going to a back three. This posed a problem but we found a way to unlock them again.and we busted their dam and the goals flooded in. 6-0 job done. Happy days are here again.

Morsey was exceptional. He broke up so many plays by Doncaster and also started do many attacking plays for us. It was great to have a Captain that leads by example rather than one who made mistakes every game and then blamed everyone else around him for his own errors.

Morsy added as manager on the pitch = an Ipswich home win. He released Evans to attack and score, Celina, back on
the wing to create and be a menance, not as a number 10, that Chaplin could earn, but to supply . No aimless playing from the back today.

Yes it was a classic midfield performance from Morsy breaking up play doing all the simple things well and always making the right decisions. Also liked the way he dropped his shoulder and went past players with his low sense of gravity. They will be harder games to come but bearing in mind it was his first league game he will only get better and sharper. Let's hope we can keep him fit because he looks like he could be vital to the teams success this season.

Morsey was fantastic, closing down, intercepting and just being in the right place all time.
Celina seemed to find space in the 1st half but Doncaster changed formation and closed him down for the second half, but when he moved wide he found space again and caused them a lot of problems.
Keeping fingers crossed we can continue to compete to this standard and we will start climbing up the table and be in the play-offs before Christmas.

Every bit a demanding improvement and a distinct advance in class and demonstrated fitness. All demonstrated a fully class act. Morsy advances to the lynch pin in a very positive result.
