Ipswich Town 3 v 0 Burton Albion FA Premier League Saturday, 19th February 2022 Kick-off 15:00 |
broseleyblue added 18:01 - Feb 19 That’s a ridiculous score for Joe Pigott. His hold up play and lay offs were pretty good and his overall contribution was also significant. If DT was worth 6.5 Pigott was worth more or at least, the same. PositivelyPortman added 18:37 - Feb 19 Robert_Garrett added 18:41 - Feb 19 Once again the opposition's best player was the goalie Garratt.Morsy and jackson were outstanding and Jacko just edged man of the match. Ref was quite poor but quite good for league two? RobsonWark added 19:10 - Feb 19 Sospiri added 20:07 - Feb 19 Entertaining game, and we could have scored 7. So good to see Jackson doing well after so long in the wilderness. grinch added 20:10 - Feb 19 Donacien was superb again MOM was Jackson and the team did well against a side that before urgent boss we would have struggled to contain. I thought Piggott was poor he is low on confidence and it shows his touch is to heavy and he did not lead the line well imo was the only negative for town today Linkboy13 added 22:15 - Feb 19 I tend to agree with the ratings for Pigott. He did show some nice touches at times. The thing that bothers me for a big man he wins very little in the air and is knocked off the ball easily. Having said all this i would play him again on Tuesday maybe he's just lacking match sharpness. Lastly you don't have to be a rocket scientist to know that Jackson was Mom today. timleatham added 17:53 - Feb 20 Another well deserved victory. A tight first half was followed by a dominant second half when we snuffed out their attacking prowess, and created a stack of chances. Lots of great performances with the Fab Four at the back again all in great form, a strong central midfield with Morsy and Evans winning most battles, and great creativity from Burns, Aluko and Celina when he came on. However MOM has to be Jackson with his goal and two assists, plus had a few other good attempts and set up a couple of sitters for Morsy and Norwood.
