Not sure about that. Good range of passing but some of the decisions he makes defensively are pretty suspect. |

(myself included) is not to treat what the nationals say as gospel. We've had years of only the EADT being interested in ipswich town, and we've learned that we can believe everything they say. We have the KOA pod telling us all about their methods. In the space of a couple of weeks all the nationals have got interested and it is becoming apparent that although we are hard-wired to trust them, their journalistic standards are not as high. The next thing we'll have to get used to is the likes of the sun lurching from "ipswich are great" to "ipswich are an embarrassment to the league" on a weekly basis. Then it will be "ipswich star spotted ignoring fans at signing session - is he looking for a move?"
The quicker we get used to it, the better. If this all fizzles out to nothing and mckenna is still here in august, it will be a great lesson in how not to believe everything you read. |

I have never seen it happen. Every ipswich manager i've ever known has been sacked for being not good enough. I suppose you could say royle and mccarthy were a bit more mutual decision but really, both were let go. |

That deal SURELY has a release clause. Surely the release clause can't be that high because he had all the power in that negotiation. 28yo - in his prime, 27 goals this year - confidence sky high, very much a mckenna type. Let's go get him.
Burns, hutchinson, chaplin, sarmiento, broadhead and smodzics rotating for 3 positions behind the striker will do for me. |
