Quite a remarkable story, and an important warning.

Unusual too in that the narrative arc is trending in a positive direction, unlike most multi-page threads.

It's very good, and he has buried it in the Three Words thread so it's easily missed.

The bit about Charlton being an absolute low point, I think it was Barrow for me. The sense that we had had the takeover and were just going to fk it up again. Even the optimistic view at the time had us back in the Championship by now, the rest of it not even a hint.

Anyone watching Bolton vs Barnsley.
at 20:38 7 May 2024

Barnsley have just scored to make it 2-3 on aggregate. Bolton probably been better side until that point.

Might get interesting.

Bloody hell though
at 01:03 1 May 2024

What a night, another superb away end really supportive of the team and - much more importantly - we got the result.

Not quite done yet of course but we’ve done everything possible to put ourselves in position. This group of players aren’t going to fail now.

Promotion is so close and yet....
at 18:52 28 Apr 2024

Last night was an extraordinarily good game, hyper competitive with two good sides absolutely going for it. It should have been one of the great away wins, certainly of the modern era but also in my time supporting Town; that it wasn't is both enormously frustrating and adds just a bit more stress to the next week.

That away end last night though, absolutely brilliant to the last man, woman or child. Vocal, vibrant support throughout the game, and at halftime, and a positive reaction to our mistakes - even the critical ones.

Hull was a great weekend, a fair few Town fans there on Friday night, an awful lot in Pave on Saturday afternoon, familiar faces everywhere and a really nice set of home fans happy so share a beer or chat on the way out of the ground. A brilliant away day with only the caveat that we still need four points from the next two just offsetting that slightly.

Onto Coventry in two days time. COYFB.

Hull roll call

Who else is going?

I'm getting a train up this afternoon, might try and watch the Leeds game tonight or I might enjoy some beers as they'll probably win anyway.

Really looking forward to our game, it's a big one but it also feels like ages since we last played rather than a fortnight.

Where are those Plymouth fans who kept popping up last season?

Hopefully straight to the nearest pub. Seven points in a week should see them ok.

Anyone up to much tonight?

Come on Town, really need to win this one. Sets Saturday and the last week up perfectly.

Time to head for Liverpool Street and, as importantly at the moment, start on the beers.
