Town Draw Bracknell Away in FA Cup
Monday, 17th Oct 2022 19:24

The Blues have drawn Southern League Premier Division South Bracknell Town away in the first round of the FA Cup.

The Robins, Isthmian South Central Division champions last season, play at Bottom Meadow, Sandhurst Town's ground, which has a capacity of 1,950 with 250 seats, meaning Town will receive a very small allocation for the tie.

First round ties will be played over the weekend of November 5th and 6th.

The Berkshire club, who are currently 15th in their league, beat Banbury 2-1 to reach the first round.

Now that is a proper FA Cup 1st Round tie. I just hope we don't slip up. But we really shouldn't.

Should we slip up….the most embarrassing result in clubs history.

We might be on BBC TV. Just the sort of cup ties they like. Have to play a strong side to show our intent.

Great draw for both teams. Our Squad being tough should get us through. With 5 subs keeping the squad ready to go, we should be cast iron favourites.

Non league opponents, almost 100 percent going to be on tv…what could go wrong!

I think there could be an upset on the cards as I think we may win!

Capacity 1900. Maybe 300 away tickets?
Be better to switch to PR.

Very likely that it'll be played at Reading's ground.

.....but being a traditionalist I'd sooner it stayed where its meant to.

Looks Like a 3G to me
Surely you can't swap grounds these days and if they do the TV would be less interested playing infront of 23000 empty Reading seats

Think we will give them a right thumping.

Absolutely no chance they will move it. This is what the cup is all about, you cannot take away the only advantage they have because it suits us!

Just looked up the Bracknell Town squad. Only player I know is Dan Bayliss due to his time at Basingstoke:

Has to be played at their ground surely or what's the point of minnows playing league teams and having the chance to upset someone on their own turf on a crappy Nov day. I really hope its not moved to Reading or changed to PR.

Limited ground, poor pitch, been there twice.
We will thump them.
