We need a PL level spine to the team now…. No room for sentiment unfortunately. I suspect a fair few of the current first team regulars will now become more and more second string. It has to be that way, but the transition will be done gradually and with compassion/ respect for those players that have got us to this level but in truth are probably not just up to that level on a regular basis . 62: I quite agree. People bang on about the PL having so much quality , but I’d suggest that’s 98% in the top 5 clubs. The rest, are probably not that much better than the top 6 Championship. Us attempting to stay up next season won’t be how we do against that top 5, but more against the lower half of the PL. That’s where our seasons battle exists. Win that and we stay up. But we are definitely going to need PL level central defenders. |

lol Goodman is clearly rattled that Woolfenden has called him out. I hate Sky , so good. BUT like it or not Goodman does make a valid point at the end of his rant, when he states promoted teams spend £m’s on strikers , when they should be investing in defenders.

hmmm only 2 players on loan allowed....If its was with a view to keeping one of Moore, Sarmiento, and Hutchinson , Id be going t=for the two latter players...But its a touch call isnt it especially as there could be other positions we'd need to recruit into on loan as cont afford to buy .
