| News Comment | McKenna: Right to Consider Interest But So Happy With Decision I've Made at 08:55:03
We are certainly very happy that you are staying Kieran, improves our chances of survival big time. Big key in the jigsaw and the work that have been done on and off the pitch the last couple of years. Best manager since Burley. The only thing I don´t really get is the " it’s a short career as a manager"-line..well, it could be if things go very, very wrong, but look at Hodgson, etc. If you do well, which I am certain that Kieran will do, it could be a very long career. |
| News Comment | Ashton: Sheeran a Really Special Man at 13:40:51
Regardless of whether you like his music or not (I do), everyone should understand Sheeran's significance as a sort of billboard for Ipswich Town. Ashton and the club's management understand the value of things like that, unlike the previous regime. |
| News Comment | McKenna Linked With Manchester United at 10:20:56
IF McKenna wants the job there isn´t much we or the club can do about it. However, my feeling is that he wants a crack at the Premier League with us before starting to look at pastures new. I have a feeling that we have no idea what the owners and the clubs ambitions are, there might be bigger plans and ambitions than we all realise. Looking at it from that perspective, why would MCK want to leave? |
| News Comment | European Clubs 'Monitoring' Hutchinson at 14:47:27
If we go up I think we could sign him, if he wants to be here. Players playing for us getting recognized can only be a good thing, even if they are not "ours". Omari has been brilliant, especially the last 3-4 matches. |
| News Comment | Head of Recruitment Linked With Former Club at 11:37:38
I can see us making a few changes to our recruitment policy (and recruitment team) in the coming years, so not a real disaster in any way if they are. Just back off McKenna! |
| News Comment | McKenna: Credit to Maidstone, a Horrible Game to Lose at 19:22:05
Some over the top reactions..as expected. Not nice to be on the wrong side of a cup upset. We should have been 2 up after 15 minutes. Just one small critisism of McKenna today. Aluko was superb in his first season for us, but his legs are gone. Should not have played today, in my opinion. |
| News Comment | Maresca: A Big Shame at 09:12:02
To be fair I thought Leicester was excellent especially first half. Without some big saves from Hladky we would probably have lost that game. However, we improved second half and the fighting spirit alone merited a point. Also results have gone against us a few times this season when we deserved more, so it all balances out in the end. So proud of the boys! |
| News Comment | Town Watch Gallagher at 12:14:13
Don´t blame Cambsrover for coming on here at all. Their own forum can´t be much fun at the moment..Decent start, and now it is all falling apart for them. Losing a good player like Travis and no investment (we sure remember what it feels like). |
| News Comment | Edwards Leaves Town By Mutual Consent at 13:57:13
In his best moments an edge of your seat type of player, pacy and could make things happen. Really liked him here, just wished there was more of an end product sometimes. Best of luck! |
| News Comment | Camara Suffers Another Injury Setback at 12:03:56
Hard to see Camara working his way back into contention for us, especially if we would do the incredible and reach the PL. McKenna and the club usually get things right, but to me this was an odd signing when the player was injured and had been for a long time. Probably a good player there, but you need good players on the field. |
| News Comment | Town Working on Scarlett Loan Signing at 12:35:52
Bluearmy_81 It´s just not about that. Our squad IS good. Our start HAVE been great. But Ashton and McKenna has repeatedly said that they want more players in (Ashton even saying that 2 or 3 were well down the line). That is a slight concern. I want us to develop and be the best we can be this season. |
| News Comment | Town Working on Scarlett Loan Signing at 11:46:45
I am usually not negative, but I sincerely doubt that Scarlett has been one of our main targets this summer. One or two loans is all right, but I would have hoped that the days of developing too many other clubs players would be over. I do think that our squad is good and our start have been fantastic, but it would be a shame not to build and progress from that. January is far way. |
| News Comment | Chaplin: We Were the Better Team and Had the Better Chances at 20:54:37
I think a draw would probably have been a fair result. We had more possession and shots off target, but Leeds felt very, very dangerous in their attacks. We need a defender or two if we want to compete with the best teams. Hladky has been great, but looked nervous yesterday. Better second half, I hope it was just one of those days. |
| News Comment | Life's a Pitch TV - Episode Six - David Sheepshanks at 10:35:55
Very harsh tractorboybig. He brought success to our club, unseen since the Bobby Robson years. We were dealt a rotten hand when we were relegated, before the time of big parachute payments. Always struck me as a nice bloke with the best intentions for our club. |
| News Comment | Town Confirm Williams Loan Signing at 14:06:25
Slightly disappointed it´s a loan without an option to buy, but I guess we will be in a good position to get him permanently if he enjoys his time with Town (and we are happy with him). |
